𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐬 || Severus Snape x Reader

~ Chapter 1: I've made a friend ~

"Come on Y/n! We're going to miss the train!"

Hermione whines, dragging you past rushing students trying to board the train in time.

You dragged your suitcase behind you, hitting a couple of other students ankles on the way, earning a few glares and snarky remarks.

"What about Ron and Harry?" You ask Hermione.

"They're probably on the train, we'll look for them later." She dragged you onto the train steps.

She moves her hand off of your arm and takes your hand, walking in a single file line past students going the opposite direction on the train.

Hermione leads you to an empty compartment at the back of the train, stepping inside and you follow after. You shut the compartment door.

"Thank god we found an empty one." You say, putting your suitcase above you on the shelf. You look back at Hermione and realize she has no suitcase. "Where is your suitcase?"

"It's already at Hogwarts. I left it there on purpose so I don't have lug it around everywhere."

"They allow that?" You wonder, sitting down on a booth.

Hermione nods, sitting across from you.

"I didn't need to bring my robes home, everything important is in here." She says, patting her bag next to her.

You nod and smile at her. You remember that she was one of the first people to talk to you at Hogwarts as the train started to move.

You were sitting in the Great Hall at a long table by the fire place. It was a free period for you, so you kept reading the book you brought with.

"Is that the Book of Magical Creatures, What they are and Where to find Them.?" Someone asked.

You lift your head and find a girl sitting on the table while looking at you with a curious expression on her face.

You nod timidly as she smiles.

"I've read that one already, it's very interesting. Especially the one on page-"

"394." You both say in unison. You both giggled.

"Im Hermione Granger." She eagerly sticks out her hand for a shake, smiling widely.

"Im Y/n Riddle." You say shyly, taking her hand as she quickly shook your hand eagerly.

"Nice to meet you Y/n Riddle!"

I've made a friend.

You both smiled at each other for a moment. "I also find page 265 interesting.."

Her voice trailed off as we heard the compartment door slide open.

It was Harry and Ron.

"Harry! Ron!" You say standing up, giving Ron a big hug. Ron chuckles and hugs you back.

"Hey Y/n!" You let go of Ron and fluff his hair, making it messy.

"I missed you guys!" You say glancing at Harry. You give him a big hug as well.

You honestly look at Harry as an older brother, even though he was a few months younger than you.

You lay your chin on Harry's chest to look up at him and you smile. Harry smiles back at you.

"We missed you too Y/n." You let go of him and see that Ron had moved and sat next to Hermione, giving her a hug as well.

You and Harry sat across from Ron and Hermione and talked on the way to Hogwarts.
