🏵 Gu-Sam High School will now be accepting all aspiring nation's athletes from HyungNam High School. We believe our nation's athletes from the different areas of sports will be eagerly trained in order for Korea to compete in the 2022 International Sport Olympics.
"Have you read this recent post from Gu-Sam, Dad?" Seolha said to his father as she read the headline from her phone.
"You see, Seolha? Even the athletes will be transferred to that school! It's the best one in Daegu when it comes to sports. You can join their volleyball team!" Seolha's father replied to her while checking his journal.
Seolha looked a little bit down as the tiny raindrops fell from the sky. They're on their way to Daegu to live with her mother. His father, Lee Seokgi, was a retired military officer. His father wants to at least live the rest of his life with his wife and daughter and to further improve their noodle business in Daegu. Seolha has no choice but to leave her school in Incheon.
As she tries to trace the raindrops from the train's window, she finally has the courage to speak. "Dad?" Seolha spoke softly. "Yes?" Seokgi glanced at her daughter and went back to her journal again.
"Did you ever regret leaving Incheon? You are quite famous there," Seolha said.
"Lee Seokgi, the legendary military soldier. The hero of Incheon! It was once my fame and will always be my accomplishment, but you know, the important thing in my life is nothing but my family," Seokgi said with his fist in full motivation. He knows her daughter wants to stay in Incheon because of her friends.
"Seolha," Seokgi uttered softly while reaching Seolha's hands. "You'll do great there! You'll find friends and maybe... a special someone?" Seokgi smiles teasingly.
"No! Stop it." Seolha released her hand as his father laughed. "I'm just kidding. Come on," her father said.
Seolha looked again through the window and watched every raindrop fall. She tries to think about how she would start her school year as a 16-year-old girl from Incheon in Daegu.
"If I'll join the volleyball team, it would be great! I'll gain friends and fans for sure. I want to be a girl campus crush! Or maybe I'll join the student council—no, maybe next year. Oh, come on, stop overthinking it." Seolha manages to keep still with a poker face while battering her different 'personalities' inside her head. She's always like this. An overthinker. Because of this, she didn't even notice they were already in Daegu.
"We're here!"
Seolha and his father were so excited and can't believe they're already in Daegu after 4 years in Incheon. Seolha finished high school there, and Seokgi managed to finish his military duties there for 4 years, and now they finally decided to stay in Daegu for good.
"Mom!" "Yeobo!"
"Seolha! Seokgi-yeobo! I'm so happy you've arrived safely. Come, come. I've prepared you some hot noodles." Seolha's mother, Lee Il-ha, waited for them outside of their house and greeted them warmly with kisses and hugs. She owns a Daegu Noodle Station just beside them, and it is just a walking distance from the train station to their house.
"It's good to be here again!" Seokgi uttered. "I still remember how little you were, running around in this house, Seolha," Seolha's mother added. "I miss you and this house so much, eomma!" Seolha replied while putting her shoes at the side of their door and putting on some slippers.
