Chapter 5

(Angel's POV)
I wake up to my alarm. I check next to me the bed is empty.
I get up and stretch.
I change into jeggings and a tank top. I brush my hair into a braid.
I put on nude make up and get out of my room.
Mason's door is open and I can see him packing.
"Leaving again?" I ask leaning on the door frame.
"Tonight. I'm just packing." He says looking at me.
His eyes go down and stop at my breasts.
It both turns me on and makes me blush.
I enter the room and close the door.
"Since you're leaving, I think you should have this." I say and take off my Angel necklace that I always wear.
"Angel, you always wear this, you've never taken it off."
"Give it to Angel. Tell her it's from me." I say and place it in his hand.
"Angel, I can't. It's yours."
"From you. I'm not the only Angel in your life now. Give it to her."
He then leans in and kisses my cheek.
"Stop staring at my chest." I whisper in his ear.
He blushes.
"Stop looking so gorgeous all the time." He says and I blush.
"Pervert." I say and hug him.
"Wanna go have breakfast?" He asks
"Delilah made omelets. I can smell them." I say.
"You and your sense of smell."
I giggle. We then go down and eat together.
After breakfast Ellie wakes up.
I carry her out of the crib and she laughs.
I look behind me and Mason is making funny faces at her.
I join in on her laughing.
"M...M..Mas.." She starts.
"Ma.son." I say slowly.
"Ma.son. Mason." She says.
"Yes." I say and kiss her temple.
"The best Mason I ever heard." He says and takes her from my arms.
"Mason." She says again.
My phone then vibrates.
E: I'll be there in an hour.
~ Elena.
"Elena's coming in an hour." I say.
Mason just nods.
"Can't you stay one more week? Attend the wedding, then leave?" I ask.
"Well, I still haven't booked a plane yet. So, I guess I can." He says.
Ellie then hugs him.
"Hey, that's my hug." I say and they both laugh.
"Here." He says and extends an arm.
I take it and he hugs me back.
"Wanna go to the park?" He asks Ellie and she claps.
"That's a yes." Mason and I say at the same time.
The three of us burst out laughing.
"Well, I need to get dressed." I say.
"I'll get her ready."
I then get out of the room.
I take a shower and take out an outfit.
I put on a black ruffled top and skinny jeans.
I choose to wear my black converse.
The door bell rings.
While tying my shoes, Delilah enters the room.
"Angel, Elena's downstairs." She says.
"I'll just put finish tying my shoes. And done." I say and get up.
I go downstairs and Mason is behind me carrying Ellie.
"Hey Elena." I say.
She gets up and we hug.
"Ellie!" She squeaks.
"Here you go." Mason says giving Ellie to her.
"Hey Mason, how are you?" She says after taking Ellie.
"Fine. You're Elena, the doctor. Am I correct?"
Elena nods. She then kisses Ellie's cheek while Ellie hugs her.
"Well, we need to go. We have a date with the park." Mason says and takes Ellie.
"And, we have a date with our college class." Elena says, gives Mason Ellie, and takes my hand.
"Bye." I say and kiss Ellie's forehead.
"Mama." She begins to cry.
Elena then let's go of my hand.
"Hey, baby girl don't cry." I say taking her.
"Mama... No... Bye." She cries and hugs me.
"Awww." Elena says.
"Don't you want to go to the park and play?"
"Mama." She says.
"OK, how about this. I go with Elena. You remember her right? I'll go with Elena to my friends. While you go to the park with Mason. Then when I'm done. I'll come to the park with you, OK?"
"No. Mama." She says shaking her head.
"Then at night we can, have dinner in Nando's." I say.
She then pulls back and claps.
"Is that a yes?" I ask.
"Eh." She says nodding.
She loves Nando's. There's something about Sam, the waiter, that she adores.
I then kiss her cheek and Mason takes her.
They then leave.
He forgot the backpack.
"Mason! You forgot her stuff. Especially her breakfast." I say and give him the bag just as he got in the car.
Elena and I then leave.
"What's with the Nando's?" She asks halfway through the drive.
"She likes a waiter there. He's nice to her. Plays with her. Y'know." I say.
She then laughs.
"I know right. But, she's happy. So, I drive that 2 hour drive just so she can be happier than usual for an hour or so and then drive that 2 hour drive again back."
"All that for your daughter."
I nod.
"Yeah. She's the best thing that ever happened to me."
Elena then smiles.
"I have to tell you something." She says when she parks.
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"Tyler's here."
I freeze.
Oh no.
"Do you still have that crush on him?" She asks.
"Yeah, but it's less. A bit."
"Well, when you see him. Believe me, that crush will go away."
"How come?"
"Besides you and me, there's no girl in Mystic Falls, that he hasn't been in bed with. And, he's now rude, careless, just, you now. The opposite. But, we still have him as a friend."
"OK." I say, take a deep breath and get out of the car.
Elena enters and I enter behind her.
I hide close but no one can see me.
"OK, guys, I have a surprise for you all." She says after saying hi to all.
"What?" They all ask.
"Surprise, come out come out wherever you are." She says and I go to their table.
"Oh my god, Angel!" Bonnie and Caroline say.
"Angel!" The rest say.
They all get up and I hug them one by one.
The last one is Caroline.
I notice a bump in her stomach.
"No way!" I say.
She's pregnant.
She squeals and shows me the wedding ring.
"Oh my god. Care, congrats!" I say and hug her tightly.
"Oh. Be careful. There's a little girl inside being squeezed." She says hugging me.
"A girl?! I'm so happy for you." I squeal.
I am. At college, she's said that when she gets married, she'd like to have a girl.
We then all sit down.
"Wow. Almost two years." Bonnie says.
"I know, where were you? Why didn't you come to senior year? What were you doing?" Caroline asks.
"Probably day dreaming about me." Tyler says and I raise and eyebrow.
"Admit it. You have a crush on me. I know babe." He says.
"Had." I say.
The truth is, since that dream last night. My crush on him disappeared.
"I knew it." He says.
"Leave her alone, Lockwood. So, how's Ellie?" Matt says.
"Cute, as always." I answer.
We all then burst out laughing.
Just like old times.
We then talk about how life had been for each of us. Some memorie, jokes, and basically everything.
"So, Caroline, you didn't tell me who's the lucky man." I say.
"Klaus Michaelson." She says.
"The Klaus Michaelson?" I ask.
Omg!
She nods eagerly.
"Please don't start again." Elena says.
"What do you mean?"
"Whenever she starts on Klaus, she's always like, Klaus. He's the hottest, sexiest, husband I can ever wish for." Bonnie says playing with her hair and imitating Caroline.
All of us burst out laughing.
I glance at the clock, 11.
"Wow, it's been 3 hours." I say.
"Time flies when you're having fun." Tyler says.
"Well, I really need to go, I promised Ellie." I say
"Yeah, you should've seen Ellie when Angel said bye." Elena says.
I take the last sip of my beer and stand up.
"Well, we have to do this again." I say as Elena stands up.
"Yeah. We'll text you. Same number?" Bonnie asks and I nod.
"Bye." I say and kiss each one on the cheek.
"How about a real kiss, babe." Tyler says.
"In your dreams." I say and smack his lips playfully.
We all laugh and we go out.
Elena drives me to the park and I surprise Ellie while she's on the swing.
"Boo." I say and she jumps in the swing.
"Mama!" She says and extends her arms.
"How's my baby girl?" I say and hug her.
She then kisses me cheek.
"She's been a very good girl." Mason says.
"Great." I say and carry her.
She yawns and lays her head on my shoulder.
"Let's go home. OK, baby girl?" I ask rubbing her back.
She slowly nods.
Mason takes us to the car and Ellie is on my lap.
Just before we reach the house, she falls asleep.
"Hey, won't you stay awake for lunch?" Mason asks her.
"She's already asleep." I say as he parks.
I carry her and open the car. I get out slowly and she almost hits her head.
Mason closes the car door and we enter the house.
"She's asleep?" Delilah asks and I nod.
She takes her from my arms and goes upstairs.

"Bye." I say and hug Mason one last time.
"Bye Mason." Ellie says jumping in my arms.
He kisses her cheek and leaves.
"OK. You stayed up till Mason leave like I promised. Now, time for bed. I'm sleepy." I say.
She then yawns.
"See, your sleepy too." I say and go up to her room.
It's 1 am.
I sit in the chair and sing.

I look down at her and she's sound asleep.
I lay her in her crib and go to my room.
I change into my Jammies and thrown myself on the bed.
I slowly drift off to sleep.
