~Y/n pov~

i sat at the street after my mom kicked me out i wore a hoodie right now i had tried calling one of my friends but she wouldn't answer the call.

so i'll stay here with one of my homeless friends "why did your mom kicked you out again?" she asked "because she found out i'm a lesbian" i said.

"oh but now you are here with me" she said i chuckle "but maybe a really hot person sees me and thinks woah she is young maybe i should take her with me" i said she chuckled.

"we don't know most people are mean" she said "i know" i said she chuckled.

~1 week later~

a woman walked by i froze as i saw her then i just coughed she noticed me my eyes widen "god i hate my throat" i mumbled Jacks laughed.

the woman walked back to me "hey can i ask how old you are?" she asked "17" i said "why are you homeless what about your parents?" she asked.

"they kicked me out for being a lesbian" i said she sighs "do you want to be with me?" she asked "but i can't leave my friend Jacks" i said.

"honey you go have a happy life i'll be here forever just come visit me" she said i nod i hugged Jacks she hugged back "I'll come by" i said she nod.

the woman helped me up "what is your name?" i asked "Kate Beckett" she said "as in Nikki Heat?" i asked smirking.

"Oh god not you too" she said "just kidding but i love his books" i said she chuckled "yeah me too" she said "but no word to Castle with what i just said" she said i nod.

we got to a house "do you want some clothes?" she asked as we stepped in i shrugged "come" she said i nod and followed her she hand me some clothes.

"do you want to take a shower?" she asked i slightly nod she showed me the bathroom "I'll be in the living room you can use everything" she said i nod.

she left i locked the door i took a shower then i dressed again.

i slowly walked down "Kate where should i put my dirty clothes?" i asked "give me them" she said i hand them to her.

we sat down the bell rang "its open Richard" she said loudly "as in Richard Castle?!" i asked as he came in "yep its me" he said "i'm a huge fan of your books" i said he smiled "at least someone" he said.

he sat next to me i leaned to him "Kate is a huge fan too" i whispered but she caught it "Hey! you said you won't tell anyone!" she said i chuckle.

"I had to he has to know" i said she rolls her eyes "wait whats your name?" he asked "Y/n" i said.

~3 months later~

i have a new phone i was on a call with Kate as i walked around outside i saw Jacks a knife in her stomach i gasped "Kate please come here where you found me!" i said "what why?" she asked.

"Jacks she she has a knife in her stomach" i said as i rushed to Jacks "okay i'll be there" she said and hung up.

"Jacks please open your eyes please" i begged she slowly opens "please don't leave me" i whispered "i'm sorry" she whispered "Please don't" i whispered.

tears streaming down "Y/n?" she whispered i nod "i love you" she whispered "w-why didn't you told me earlier?" i asked "i i was scared" she whispered.

"i love you too" i whispered her hand went to my cheek wiping my tears away "you look good tho" she whispered i chuckle "shut it" i said she chuckled but winched Kate came to my side.

"ambulance is on their way" she said i nod "Y/n?" she whispered i nod "can you hold me?" she whispered "yeah of course" i said i stood up and sat behind her i carefully pulled her to me i held her close.

"thanks for taking care of Y/n" Jacks said to Kate "no problem" she said the ambulance came they took her into the Ambulance "wait a second" i said i rushed inside to Jacks.

"can i do something?" i asked she nod i leaned down and peeked her lips she smiled "i'll fight for you" she whispered i smiled.

i walked back out Kate had given them her number so they could call her if she makes it or not.

~4 hours later~

her phone rang i jumped up and rushed to her side "is this Kate Beckett?" a woman asked "yes its me" she said "here is the nurse of Jacky Warren" she said i took her phone "its a friend of Jacky is she okay?! please tell me she is okay please!" i begged.

"i'm sorry but she passed away in the operation" she said "w-what" i stuttered tears rolling down "please tell me you are kidding" i said "no i'm sorry" she said i fell to my knees Kate pulled me to her as she knelt down.

she took her phone "thank you for telling us" she said then she hung up "shh its okay" she whispered "No i just lost the woman who was there for me everyday when my mom abused me she was the only one i had" i said.

"i know honey i know" she said "why her and not any other homeless person" i cried out she sighs "i will find the murder i promise" she whispered i nod.

~2 weeks later~

i looked trough Jacks pictures tears rolling down "Y/n you sure you can look at the murder?" she asked i nod she lead me to the room my eyes widen "Mom?!" i asked "i'm sorry" she said.

"no you are not you knew i loved her you knew it!" i said Kate held me so i don't attack my mom.

"i fucking hate you" i said "because of you she is dead just because of you!" i yelled.

"come Y/n its not worth it" Richard said he took my hand "I fucking hate her" i said "i know i know honey" he said "i loved Jacks i really did now she is gone" i whispered as he hold me close.

"you'll find someone new" he said i shrugged.

"how about Kate?" he whispered i looked up at him "what do you mean?" i asked "she has feelings for you" he whispered "oh" i whispered.

~3 months later~

"Kate?" i asked as i sat at her desk "yes honey?" she asked "Castle told me you love me" i whispered her eyes widen.

"oh he did?" he asked as she side eyed him he put his hands up in defense "Kate do you?" i asked she nod.

i froze "but i was homeless" i stuttered "yeah you were homeless and now you live with me" she said i sigh.

"i love you too" i whispered she smiled "can we talk about it in private?" i asked she nod "at home?" she asked i nod.

~Kate pov~

*i love you too* i repeat in my head over and over again "Kate are you there?!" Richard asked as he waved his hand in front of my face.

~at home~

"are you sure you love me?" i asked she nod "i do" she said i smiled "can i?" i asked she nod i leaned in and kissed her she kissed back.
