Sophie walked to class, gently moving and wary of the boys on either side of the doorway, staring at her. To relieve the tension, she began to talk to Ana. "For how long have you been in the school", said Sophie. "For as long as I know, Sophie, I've been here with my cousin, Alison", said Ana. "Who is Alison?", said Sophie. "WOW! You're talking about the most popular girl in school", said Ana. "How come you're not as popular as she is?", said Sophie.
It wasn't Ana who answered that question. It was Alison, with her minions. "Because she will not stop associating with bitches like you who do not mind their business and wear fake gold", said Alison, with a sly smile. "Now, if you may excuse me, out of my way, bitch", said Alison, sticking a paper straw in Sophie's hair and walking away with her minions. "I am sorry for her behaviour, that's how she behaves when she feels threatened", said Ana pausing as though she was thinking.
"And to say, you actually have been attracting a lot of attention, she thinks you're going to steal her boyfriend and end her tyranny in this school, I wish I was just like you", said Ana. Sophie smiled and went to her locker to take some books. Two black girls cornered her to ask some questions. "Hi, beauty just wanted to ask, where did you get this jean jacket, it's lovely", said the taller one. "And, you're...", said Sophie. "Emily and this is my twin, Zoe", said Emily.
Zoe smiled. "And, I'm Sophie", said Sophie. "We know that already, besides, I asked you a question before", said Emily, smiling. "My aunt owns FLORA BEAUTIES, so you know", said Sophie, but she was surprised when she saw their mouths opened wide. "OMG! You mean Annie Robinson is your aunt and Joanna Robinson is your cousin and THE OWNER OF CARTWRIGHT CORPS is your father?", said Emily. Sophie nodded yes. Emily nearly fainted but Zoe did not want to believe. "Then where are the guards and everything", she said.
Sophie whispered mischievously, "My dad must never know I'm here; he thinks I'm with my personal tutor at home. I was able to get here with my aunt's help now, I live with my aunt.". "Wow! I think I like understand you, you know all those rich kids with narcissist and controlling father", said Emily, chuckling softly. "You do like you have a great voice, Sophie, mind to join Cat ears", said Emily, and Zoe nudged her in the ribs. Seeing Zoe's discomfort, she replied, "Yep!".
Turns out it was the twin sisters' singing duo and Sophie could understand that Zoe did not want her sister and Her's bonding time to be replaced with a total stranger. She apologized when it was break, "I can understand that you don't want you and your sister's close tie to be broken, so I'm sorry", said Sophie. "I'm no longer in your duo", said Sophie. "I'm also sorry, you're a newbie and you'll need some friends, so I'm sorry again and besides there's no harm in changing duo to trio", said Zoe.
Sophie smiled and was about to thank her when soup dripped from her hair onto her face and she heard chuckles. "Spaghetti hair, MS. BITCH, how you like that", said Alison. Sophie just opened her mouth wide in utter surprise, "And a plate cap won't be bad too", said Alison, putting the plate on Sophie's head. The whole cafeteria roared into laughter as Sophie ran out, Zoe and Emily following behind, headed for the girls' toilet. "That girl is so annoying", said Zoe, angrily.
"Who the hell is she?", said Sophie, washing her hair off. "She is the Queen Bee of Rainbow High and she and Zoe used to be friends. She even turned Zoe against me. And then, during the school's talent show. I was singing and Zoe was singing, but not together and you know what they say, 'Two heads is better than one' and so, we lost and Alison and her minions won the talent show and after that, she cyber-bullied Zoe", said Emily. "That girl's a witch", said Sophie, still washing the stains off.
"Calling her a witch is an understatement", said Zoe, musing. "She hates it when she sees other people getting better than her and so, she brings them down by bullying them and it looks to me like you, Sophie Cartwright is going to be the end of her tyranny in this school", said Emily. "I don't want to be the end to anybody's tyranny, I just want to be normal, have fun in school and socialize with others, this is my first time in school, first time I'm meeting loads of people", said Sophie.
"I understand you", said Zoe. "But you'd be kidding yourself, girl, it's either you destroy her before she destroys you", said Emily. "Whatever", said Sophie and she regretted it because, by the end of the day, she did not only have hair smelling spaghetti, but she had also fallen from her chair, her locker had boomed right in front of her and her sneakers had been tied to her table. She felt horrible and as she waited for her chauffeur and talked with the girls.
"I told you, Sophie, she's so mean, you can never have peace if you don't destroy her", said Emily, "So, how do I deal with her?", said Sophie. Emily and Zoe went quiet at once, the girls were thinking hard for an idea. After what seemed like ages to Sophie, Zoe spoke at once, "I've got the greatest idea, tomorrow is the school's first prom night mainly to welcome us back to school", said Zoe pausing. "Okay, go on", said Sophie, impulsively."You can try to gain Jack's attention", said Zoe. "Who the hell is Jack?", said Sophie. "You don't know JACK CRUSOE, the HOTTEST boy in Rainbow High", said Emily, already on her phone searching for his picture. As soon as she found it, she showed it to Sophie. And Sophie was impressed surprisingly. Her chauffeur arrived and pressed the honk. The girls picked up their school bags quickly. "So, you guys mean I have to attract that hottie to kick Alison away?", said Sophie.
The girls nodded a big YES Sophie said bye to her new friends.
