I'd been dating my boyfriend Byun Baekhyun for a few months now. I had fallen completely and hopelessly in love with him and at first, I thought he felt the same. But as time went on, I realized he kept himself from feeling anything of the sort. After asking his best friend, Kyungsoo, about it, I came to the realization that he had fallen for his last boyfriend hard only to be badly heartbroken. Now he tried with everything in his power to make sure that it never happened again.

I started noticing little things he did to make sure that he didn't get too attached. We never slept over at each other's places and the one time that I accidentally fell asleep at his place, he woke me up at three in the morning and asked me to leave. I just assumed at the time that he had a bossy roommate or something. He never held my hand, but he also never seemed to like much skinship, so I never thought of it as odd. While he would kiss me, they never seemed that passionate, like he was shy.
