"The empathetic hunger descends

We'll tell no one except all of our friends"

Lily Lawton's POV:

The British Grand Prix weekend was finally here, and I could feel the excitement buzzing in the air as we arrived at Silverstone. It was a special occasion, not just for Lando but for both our families, who had come together to cheer him on. The atmosphere was electric, and I couldn't help but feel a mix of anticipation and pride.

As we made our way to Lando's garage, I spotted my parents chatting animatedly with his. The camaraderie between them was heartwarming, and it felt surreal to have our families united for this moment. I waved at Gabi, who was standing next to Carlos and little Luca, all of them grinning from ear to ear. Their support meant the world to me and to Lando.

The energy in the garage was palpable as the team prepared for the race. I caught a glimpse of Lando, who looked focused and determined, his racing suit fitting him like a second skin. He glanced over at me, and our eyes met for a brief moment. A rush of warmth filled my chest, and I waved enthusiastically. He smiled back, and it made my heart flutter.

Once the race started, the excitement kicked into high gear. I stood next to my parents, holding my breath as the cars roared to life. The sound was deafening, and I felt the ground tremble beneath my feet as they sped by. Every lap, every corner was a thrilling rollercoaster ride, and I couldn't help but cheer loudly for Lando as he navigated the track.

As the laps ticked down, I noticed the tension in the garage. Lando was battling hard for a podium finish, and I could see the determination etched on his face through the pit wall's monitor. I held my breath with every overtake and defended position. When the announcer declared that Lando was in second place, a wave of joy washed over me.

When he crossed the finish line, securing that second place, the garage erupted in cheers. I jumped up and down, unable to contain my excitement. Lando had done it! My heart swelled with pride as I saw him climb out of the car, a beaming smile on his face.

He made his way toward the garage, and I rushed to meet him, wrapping my arms around him in a tight embrace and placing a kiss on his lips. "You did it! I'm so proud of you!" I exclaimed, my voice muffled against his shoulder.

"Thank you, Lily! I couldn't have done it without your support," he replied, his eyes sparkling with happiness.

As we pulled apart, I could see the joy radiating from him, and I felt a sense of triumph for both of us. This was just the beginning, and I couldn't wait to celebrate with our families.

Lando Norris' POV:

The British GP was finally here, and with my family and Lily's family all gathered to support me, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. The energy in the garage was electric as I prepared for the race. I could hear the cheers of the crowd outside, and knowing that both our families were there for me added an extra layer of motivation.

As the race started, the adrenaline surged through my veins. I focused on the track ahead, blocking out everything else, even the noise from the stands. Every turn, every maneuver was crucial, and I pushed myself to give it my all.

As the laps went by, I found myself in a heated battle for second place. It was a hectic race, filled with twists and turns, but I kept my cool, reminding myself of all the hard work and dedication that had brought me to this moment.

When the final lap approached, I was neck and neck with my competitor. I could see the finish line ahead, and my heart raced with anticipation. As I crossed it in second place, an eruption of cheers filled my ears. I had done it!
