Eleanor's POV:

Dinner with the Chipmunks is less passive aggressive but it's still awkward. Simon and Jeanette still can't talk to each other, Alvin and Brittany try ignore each other.

Dave tries to lighten the mood, by telling a joke but they just ignored him. It's honestly just sad.

The next day it was finally Saturday, we finally got to chill. Jeanette and Brittany were sighing a lot and seemed down.

I was casually making some breakfast and Jeanette walked in, her eyes were all red and puffy, as if she were crying all night. she was a mess.

"Jeanette, are you okay?" I asked, sounding concerned.
"Yeah I am," she says depressingly. Then she immediately sheds tears and throughs her head onto the counter. I rush over to comfort her.

"I just don't get how cupid could be so cruel!" she cries. I pat her gently back.

"I know, I know," I reply as I give her a hug. I get up and make her a warm cup of tea, and also to finish making breakfast.

Alvin's POV:

"I just don't get how cupid could be so cruel," Simon said, venting to Theodore.

"Why don't you tell her that you were just trying to make Alvin jealous?" Theodore suggested.

"It's complicated..." he sighed.

I was listening the whole time and I felt bad for Simon so I decided I was going to help Simon.

On Monday, it was the end of school, I was at my locker and I yelled,

"Simon, Jeanette help!"

The two swiftly ran over.

"What is it?!" Simon panicked.

"T-There's a s-s-spider in my l-locker!" I lied.

"here take a look."

They walked over and peaked they're heads into my locker, I quickly pushed them both in and locked my locker.

"Alvin? ALVIN!" Simon yelled. (A/N: This is sort of a reference to that time Alvin locked Simon and Jeanette in a pen in the episode "Clumsy Jeanette", This was not intentional though)

"I'm not letting you out until you admit something!"
