Dhar... That was the young man's name. He was a lieutenant, a soldier, a guy working in the Navar Army. The Navar Army was led by a king who strives for power, his name is Lord Ravannavar. The power being called, iddhi, it's a sort of magical fuel and energy that lives within anyone. That's what Lord Ravannavar wanted. He would either recruit or capture those who have high amounts of iddhi not just for power and to conquer lands; but also to reawaken the goddess, Kala. Kala, the Goddess of Life and Rebirth, wanted to remake the world in her own image for how flawed humanity was.

With those details in mind, Dhar looked up to Lord Ravannar not because he is a leader but saw him as a father-figure since no one was there to take care of the boy. He was recruited by him due to the high power of iddhi he contained, also impressive sword-skills, and manipulations of rocks at his will. He would help Lord Ravannavar conquer areas and execute people who are against his leader's beliefs. However, all would change when he got assigned to reign over a village in Ashwat.

Once he went there, he ordered monsters(the vetala) to destroy the peaceful life within the village. Flames scorched through the fields and crops by thrown torches, small houses rammed over by the horrid creatures, and a wailing out cry came from the captured and the slaughtered. As for Dhar; he was having a clash against the village chief, Indr, he didn't hold back from a fight. Fists and palms deflected some flying rocks away, then Indr calmly grabbed the young man's blade.

Dhar smirked and reeled his arms back,"Got you..." He quickly pierced the sword into the chief's torso. He pulled away as Indr's body fell, bleeding then he coughed out more blood.

"We're done with this place, let's move to the next territory!" Dhar ordered. The soldiers and vetala scurry off, roaring with a war cry. Footsteps were soon heard and the young soldier looked, seeing a girl holding Indr's body,"Dad! Are you– Oh no, this looks bad. It looks really bad!" Her eyes met up with Dhar's cold ones, hers were filled with fumes and a bit of tears,"You... What have you done?!"

"So, the old man had a child. I'll allow you to say your goodbyes, but your life is forfeit, heretic," oh what a way to add more fuel to the fire, young man...

"Ajna," Indr muttered. So that's the girl's name... She looked down at him, listening to his dying words,"You're strong. You're the best student I could have asked for, and the best daughter." She continued to listen to the reassuring words from her father until he lost his final breath. Soon the clash between Ajna and Dhar began. Ajna swung some kicks, albeit a bit sloppy, as another was blocked by the sheath. Dhar knocks her away, burying his sword into the dirt and pulls out a pillar of rocks. He charges at her, swinging it but the girl ducked down then rolled to the side. She pounces, throwing a fist at him which did make contact with his stomach.

This made the soldier grunt a bit, although Ajna's going to need a few more hits to weaken him. So she tried, blocking plus dodging some slashes in an attempt to get an opening. She threw more punches at him but once Dhar was going to counter, he glowed in purple and shrunk into a little ball as he was absorbed into her head. Ajna unconsciously or accidentally took him inside her mind.

So... The two decide to make a truce and venture off to go to the Navar Army's base called "Fortress Vimana". They made many allies throughout their journey like a gloomy shamaness, and an aspiring child botanist. They also got captives that were imprisoned in the fortress, an archer and a knight. Unknowingly in the future, Ajna had even befriended more and more people. However, those fellow friends of hers – well a small, small, SMALL fraction of them– left a distaste whenever they took a glance at Dhar or just didn't bother with him.

Even Dhar is aware of this.

After all, he did have a track record of massacres and raids since he was following orders but at what cost? Never in his mind, he didn't sense anything wrong or doubt with the lord he looked up to. However, once he heard the words of distraught and anger from the victims that the Navar Army terrorized. He learned of his wrong-doings. How they affected others. How many innocent people lost their loved ones. How much peace was interrupted with violence. Dhar reflected on that and he will never atone for what he has done.
