Baozhai, Thorani, Dhar, and some pirates in the diner room of the ship, gaining a huge feast on their table. Most of them consist of seafood: Lobsters, shrimps, oysters, crabs, and tuna. There were even lots of fruits on the table too. A blue-pigtailed girl in tropical attire comes with a big bowl of salad in her hands,
"Aaaaaand that's all I got for everyone! Dig in!" She says with glee. Everyone at the table began to feast like a pack of wolves .
The first thing that Dhar takes is a big crab leg doused in lemon juice. He breaks it in half, revealing the white meat. The sweet aroma mixed with the lemon juice's scent entered his nostrils, it told him to hurry and dig in. So he leans in then takes a big bite of the crab meat. He chews... His eyes widened, eating the rest of it under the leg's shell.
It tasted sweet and a little sour, but also a bit briny. Dhar then grabs some shrimp and grapes.
"Amazing right? Leilani's cooking are the best for hungry pirates!" Baozhai claims as she grabs a lobster claw, and rips it with her bare teeth. The young man's eyes dilate at the girl, muttering her name to take note.
The pirate looks at Dhar, her eyes looking serious. She swallows her food, "Sooo... Dhar? What's with you?" A small hum escaped from the young man's throat as his eyes darted at her. He holds up his index finger, pointing at himself. Baozhai nods, "Yes, I mean you. Are you uh... like okay?"
"I'm fine... Recovering from those crazy flyers. Why ask?"
"It's because you don't seem to recognize me or Baozhai, "Thorani worryingly says. Dhar lets out a long "ohhh" then follows it with, "I don't remember anything that's why."
... "WHAT!?!" Baozhai and Leilani cry out while Thorani frowns, looking down. She had a feeling when observing Dhar's behavior but it's still unfortunate to hear otherwise.
Dhar's fingers fidget with his knife and fork, "H-Hey," he stammered as all eyes were on him. "My memories may be gone but I'm out on a journey so I can know who I am and all...
So it isn't that bad right? Did the old me do something to impact you two? "
Baozhai looked up as her right hand waved her drink a little while the other went side to side, "Ehh... Well you helped Ajna, I dunno you much personally. Albeit when first meeting her, you, and the others; you made a dumb joke about my crew killed by a sea monster."
The young man blinked,
"I said what?"
"But that's nothing too important I say aside from sacrificing yourself in the midst of chaos."
"Like the rebellion?"
"... What rebellion...?" Thorani asks, concerned. Dhar tilts his head and answers her question, "The rebellion that Zebei and Kushi told me," he then explains what Lhan's protectors mostly told him. The married couple's faces were disturbed. Why would they lie to Dhar like that? All of a sudden, they heard Leilani whining as they turned to look at her.
"Wahh... Does that mean you don't remember the great feasts we had?! You were so constructive when it came to my cooking! It really, really helped me a lot until Kogi came along." The silver-haired let out a small chuckle, scratching his cheek, "I'm sure there is a memory of mine that'll pop out about it..."
After eating, Baozhai and Thorani decided to take Dhar outside for a tour of Port Maerifa. This is exactly what he saw in his dream. White structures with curvy gold roofs and blue cloths, a bar, bustling people and markets alongside the scent of the salty ocean.
He then learns about the big building called the Tower of Wisdom, a gargantuan library whose academics catalog much of the world's science and history.
Maybe he could pay a visit there sometime.. But right now, he wants to explore what's in store at one of the stands and shops: seafood, antiques, art. Nothing much of interest yet until heard cries were heard at the main entrance alongside some clanging and angry yelling.
Unsure what's going on, the 3 dash their way to check what's going on. At the entrance, they saw foot soldiers in black and gold armor attacking innocent people.
"What in the sea spiral world is going on?!" Baozhai cried out, startled by the scene.
