Astrid's eyes narrowed as she recognized the figure - it was Alex, Liam's friend and a notorious prankster.

"Alex, what are you doing here?" Liam asked, his voice laced with confusion.

"Just keeping an eye on things, my friend," Alex replied, his eyes gleaming with mischief. "You know, making sure Astrid here doesn't get too carried away with her spy fantasies."

The Midnight Mooners burst out laughing, ridiculing Astrid for thinking she was in a spy movie. Astrid's face fell, her shoulders slumping in defeat. She looked down, her eyes welling up with tears.

"You think this is a joke, don't you?" she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "You think I'm just a silly girl playing make-believe."

Alex's smirk grew wider. "Well, aren't you?"

Astrid's tears spilled over, streaming down her face. "I thought I was doing something important," she said, her voice cracking. "I thought I was making a difference."

The Midnight Mooners laughed even harder, their ridicule piercing Astrid like a knife. Alex's eyes gleamed with triumph, thinking he had won the upper hand.

But little did he know, Astrid's tears were just a clever disguise for her true intentions...

As the group walked away, Astrid's sneer grew wider. "Pathetic," she muttered to herself. "My school life was boring, so I decided to play with you guys. But honestly, I don't really care about your dumb games or your little clique."

She shrugged, her eyes rolling in disdain. "You guys were just a temporary distraction from my mundane life. But now, I'm done. I've had my fun."

With a flick of her hair, Astrid turned and walked away, leaving the Midnight Mooners and their games behind. She didn't look back, didn't bother to check if they were watching her. She knew she was better than them, and that was all that mattered.

Astrid arrived at the racing track, the roar of the engines and the scent of gasoline a welcome distraction from her stressful encounter with the Midnight Mooners. She had always found solace in the thrill of racing, the rush of adrenaline as she sped around the track.

But as she was gearing up to hit the track, she noticed a familiar group of faces in the crowd. Liam and the Midnight Mooners were standing by the pit lane, their eyes fixed on her with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion.

Astrid groaned inwardly, her stress levels spiking again. Can't they just leave me alone?

Liam and the Midnight Mooners approached her, their faces stern. "Astrid, we need to talk," Liam said, his voice firm.

But before they could say anything else, a group of fans swarmed around Astrid, asking for autographs and selfies. "Astrid, you're a legend on the track!" one of them exclaimed.

Liam and the Midnight Mooners looked on in shock, their mouths agape. "You're...you're a race enthusiast?" Liam stuttered.

Astrid smiled, her helmet tucked under her arm. "Yeah, I'm kind of a big deal in the racing world."

Liam and the Midnight Mooners watched as Astrid sped away, their minds reeling with the revelation that she was a renowned race enthusiast.

"I can't believe it," Liam said, shaking his head. "She's just a nobody, a wannabe spy who thinks she's a big deal."

But before he could say more, Alex jumped in, a smirk on his face. "Hey, guys, let's not forget, Liam's got a girlfriend who's a total superstar. Katherine's a wealthy heiress, a teen model who just got back from a world tour. She's the real deal, not some poser like Astrid."

The Midnight Mooners nodded in agreement, oohing and ahhing over Katherine's credentials. Alex continued to boast about Katherine's accomplishments, making sure to emphasize her wealth and status.

Liam just rolled his eyes, but didn't correct Alex. He knew that Alex was trying to get a rise out of Astrid, but he didn't realize that Alex was also unwittingly revealing his own insecurities.
