Out of the Orange

Chapter 2

Rose was just finishing her latest video about the current race happening in Australia. The race was like the first three of the year Jules Elliot at the top podium, his teammate Kit Chase, and the Red Bull Driver  Calvin Fort. The drivers have been the ones that have been the most dominant switching the positions for almost every race during last season and again this season. Rose loves the battles between the three drivers and it also gives her the biggest content for the weekend. 

Rose has posted about the guys together and alone, especially Jules Elliott. The videos are always something about the race or about his reputation and what she would like to market him better. Her fans know that she would honestly help him and other drivers to the point that they message several teams and the FIA about her videos. Which caused her to be on the teams radar for the past few months. They have been keeping up to date on her latest post especially on the famed driver Jules. 

Rose was editing this new video of the race when she received a message that was completely shocking to her. Mclaren has reached out to her. Slowly other teams have just messaged the same thing. 

                       Hi Rose! Thank you for supporting our team for a while now and showing your fans our sport! We really appreciate the videos you make. We would love to invite you to the next race in Miami. We would love to talk about possibly joining our team in Marketing.  Please consider the offer and let us know if you want to come.

Rose was beyond shocked reading the message. What got to her the most is Ferrari, Red Bull and Mercedes also messaged her almost identical messages. She didn't know what to say and who to pick they were all her favorite teams with her favorite drivers on each of them. She ended up sending a joint message to all them not being able to choose.

               Hi! Thank you so much for the kind words! It means a lot for all of you send me a message like that. I appreciate the offer and i would love to accept and hear what you all can offer. Please let me know the details. 

Rose screams in excitement. It's not every day that  Formula 1 teams message you and decide they all want you to work for them. She can't wait to see what they fully want from her.  What got her the most was the next email.  Attached to it was 2 paddock passes, information for a hotel room and more accommodations. 

              We all talked and would love to have you as a guest for all of us. In doing so we all ask  you to consider our offer and all a new offer of working with all of us. Please take time to consider our offer during the race weekend and give us an answer by Monday. Please also accept the following as a guest for Miami. 

She screamed again alerting her best friend and roommate, Sky Dallas. The girls have been friends for years since elementary school and carried on even in college as roommates. They know every detail about each other, going through everything together too. Sky knows Rose's love for racing to the point she loves the sport as well and they became race buddies to the point they started a podcast to talk the latest on the sport. Formula 1 to Indy Car to lower races like Late models  and Midget racing called Podium Princesses. They have a huge and loyal fan base every week that sends them news if they haven't received it yet . 

Sky runs into the room that Rose is currently in that they do all their filming and editing. "Omg! What's going on? Did something happen? Is someone dying? Rose talk to me." Sky yells at Rose as she is just sitting there with her jaw wide open. 

" Sky.. Mclaren... Ferrari... Job... Mercedes...Red Bull... Race" Rose shuttered but in shock scaring her friend. 

" Rose. Honey i know I'm smart and can usually decipher your nonsense but this is a new level what is going on?" Sky says to her crazy but smart friend.

  " Sky. i just got invited to the Miami race this weekend by Mclaren, Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull. Not only did they invite me they all offered me a job and they gave me two paddock passes." Rose finishes to see her best friend be like her a few minutes ago. 

"What?"   " What you don't believe me here is the emails." Rose proceeds to show Sky the emails, the plane and hotel details, and the tracking details for passes to come to them. 

Still shocked they sit staring at the computer and then at each other. They know how real the emails are but they still think it could be fake.  After a few Minutes pass the realization sat in and that causes, Sky to blurt out " You better be giving me that second pass or you can find yourself with a new best friend." 

Rose laughed at Sky not believing that the girl could think she wouldn't take Sky with her. " Girl Shut up! You know that the first race i could ever go to I would take you. Like i would have anyone else I would be willing to take. You will be going with me. Formula 1 is our sport, girl." 

They laughed at each other knowing they made a deal years ago if they were ever invited they would be taking each other.  Even though Rose and Sky make enough money to go to several races in the year, they could never actively purchase any tickets. Even with the money they have they are never ones to spend a ton of money for things like that. They always bought normal tickets to all the races they attend and always stayed local to them. 

Now their dream is coming true, They would be attending a race together that one of them was invited to. 

Sky reprocessed what was shown to her, "Wait you were offered a job in marketing for all the teams. That is insane. Are you taking the job? Are you going to at least think about it? How is it going to work like you are working for all of them? Do you think they will make you sign an NDA? What will the drivers be like? Will  you be able to invite me or other people to races if you want? " 

" Sky, Take a breath girl. I don't know anything about what they want or what the rules will be. I will definitely ask those questions. I don't know if i will take the job but i will think about it." 

"Ok. Ok. but if you decide to take this job i want to be the first person to know about it."

" I will. You are my best friend. It is your right to know if i take it. "

Sky gasped. "Do you think you will meet Jules Elliot and Kit Chase? or Calvin Fort or even Echo Hawk? Do you think we will run into them before the race?  Do you think we will be able to sit in the car or even do a hot lap?" 

" Sky come on they are drivers of course they are going to be there. They are drivers. and yes there is a chance we will meet them as i could be possibly working with them. " Rose shakes her head at the girl. They had favorite drivers Sky's Jules Elliot and Echo Hawk. Rose's Kit Chase and Romeo Pino. They also just love all drivers and teams even though they prefer and root those guys. 

The rest of the day the girls started talking fashion and what they will need to bring. They need to start packing since the race will be in 5 days and they need to make sure they had the best grid fashion and make sure it would be business appropriate since they will be in some meeting during the weekend. They can't wait to see what the weekend will bring.
