Chan decided to do what Jisung asked of him and go to Felix's room next. Chan arrives at his fellow Aussie's door and pauses to take a quick look at his profile. Chan once again notices that Felix has significantly less crimes and police reports attached to his profile compared to his other members. Chan hesitates for a moment and then decides to make a bold move by taking all of his patients profiles into the room with him to see Felix.
Out of all my patients, Felix and Jeongin might be the ones who are the most sane. Technically, Felix isn't even considered insane because obsessive love disorder isn't a medically recognized disorder. There's no doubt in my mind that Minho or one of the others probably bribed the judge in order for Felix to be sentenced to go to a mental hospital with everyone else instead of jail for his crimes.
Chan winces when he looks down at Felix's profile and sees a photo of Felix's old beloved with a slashed throat and a heart drawn on his white shirt in blood. They probably weren't able to find any evidence to link Felix to the murder, but people suffering from obsessive love disorder do sometimes resort to killing the object of their affection in worst-case scenarios. There's no doubt in my mind Felix was behind this poor boy's death. He might not have been the one to slash his throat, but the heart was most likely done by him which means, at the very least, he watched him die.
Chan sighs and continues analyzing the younger's profile. Since the person Felix was obsessed with is dead, he no longer has anyone to obsess over. People with this disorder act very differently when their beloved dies. Felix could be depressed, but that's not likely since he was involved in his love's murder and he never did anything drastic to himself after the murder and before the police caught him.
Second, Felix could also be pretty much completely normal since he doesn't have anyone to infatuate himself with, or Third, he could be normal for now until he finds someone that interests him...I hope it's not that one. Chan scolds himself mentally. Fuck, I just jinxed myself.
Chan sighs before finally entering the room. He closes the door behind him and the sound of a chair's legs scraping against the floor can be heard before Chan sits down. Chan's gaze lands on a small boy sitting on the bed and staring at him intensely.
"Who was the first member of the gang that you met?" Chan asks the Australian in English. Felix notices the accent and his eyes widen. "You're Australian." Chan nods and taps his pen against the clipboard in front of him rhythmically.
The older raises a brow. "Well? Who was the first one you met?" Felix flinches slightly at Chan's unwavering gaze locked on him and how easily he stayed on track without acknowledging a lot about his nationality. He takes his index and middle finger from his right hand and places them where his jaw meets his neck to check his pulse. Chan narrows his eyes at the action slightly.
"Do you have heart problems?" Felix shakes his head and his hand shakes faintly. "It's a nervous habit."
Chan nods and lets his eyes scan the younger's body up and down. Like all of the others, Felix also looks like he hasn't been properly cared for. His jaw clenches and he runs his tongue over his lips and tilts his head in irritation at his patients' mistreatment.
"You still haven't answered my question." Felix jumps slightly and takes in Chan's stiff posture and his leg starts to shake as his anxiety rises. "Jeongin was the first member I met. He stole my wallet. Luckily I noticed him steal it and followed him. That's how I met everyone else."
Chan nods and writes everything down before he remembers what Jisung told him. "I don't know if this means anything, but Jisung told me to tell you this word, twin."
Felix's eyes widen and his body immediately relaxes as if all his nervousness and anxiety vanished within an instant. Felix smiles softly. Chan looks at him puzzled. "What does that word mean?"
"It means you passed Jisung's test." At this point, Chan is even more confused. "What test?"
Felix spaces out for a minute to try and find the right words. "Jisung's OCD makes him very picky about certain things. Everything has to be perfect. I don't know what he told you, but it isn't just the outside appearance of a person that has to be perfect to him. He has to click with them too. You must've made him feel like he could get along with you well. Not many people pass Jisung's little test."
Chan narrows his eyes. "There's more that you aren't telling me." Felix giggles and blushes slightly.
"Don't worry about it." He runs his hand through his hair. "Don't you have other patients waiting for you? Don't waste more time with me. Jisung has given me some things I have to think about."
The boy then spaces out and Chan sighs as he knows he won't be able to get another word out of him. He takes all of his profiles, leaves the room, and decides to backtrack and visit Hyunjin for the very first time.
