We woke up early this morning, well I did...I ended up having to force Naruto out of bed. He really wasn’t a morning person. I wanted to make sure he was taken care of and prepared for today. We went into town and I made sure Naruto had a good breakfast…he really could eat. He ate one stand out of almost all their food. At least I was able to snatch a few rice balls before they were all gone. We then started to make our way to the arena.

I saw Naruto looking at me from the corner of my eye. I smiled as I looked forward again as we continued walking.

          “Isamu Sensei…”

I looked at him and nodded. He took a few moments to ask his question.

“Do you think Sasuke will be there? Do you think he’s all recovered?”

I nodded slowly as I put my hand on his shoulder.

“I think he will be there and yes I’m sure he is all recovered…you don’t have to worry.”

I smiled but, I didn’t believe what I just told him. I really had no idea, I had no idea where they have been for the past month or if Sasuke was even recovered. I didn’t have the heart to tell him. I needed him to be clear-headed going into this.

He smiled and nodded as he looked forward again and grabbed the straps of his bag.

“Hey, Isamu Sensei…thank you…thank you for being there for me and helping me train…I know the pervy sage was good too but…you’ve always been there for me so...”

His voice was shaky, I knew it was hard for him to say something like that. I didn’t want to make too big of a deal out of it, but he really got to me. I smiled and felt my eyes water over.

          “You’re welcome, Naruto…”

We made it to the front of the arena, I stopped and sighed as I looked up. It was a huge arena and there were so many people going to be in there…too many if you ask me. I patted Naruto on the back because this was where we parted ways.

“Naruto, you do what we taught you this past month and you’ll be fine…you got this…now go make me proud!”

He smiled and nodded as he ran off into the entrance. He had to go make sure he was all set for when he was called. I followed behind and made my way up the stairs to the viewing area. I made my way around until I found Sakura. When I saw her, I made my way down and stood next to where she was sitting. I looked over to greet her and saw Ino sitting on the opposite side of her.

          “Isamu Sensei!”

She jumped up and hugged me in her excitement. I laughed as I hugged her back.

“It’s nice to see you too Sakura…how have you been?”

She sat back down looking out to the arena; her smile faded. I knew what was bothering her, I put my hand on her shoulder and squeezed it.

“He’ll be here Sakura…don’t worry too much."

She nodded as she turned her attention to Ino I began to look around. I didn’t see any trace of Kakashi or Sasuke anywhere…I was also eyeing out all the anbu stationed in the arena. I furrowed my brow as I crossed my arms…only eight? That is no where near enough for an arena this size. I hope the old man knows what he is doing. WIth all that has been happening lately….we really need more defenses.
