AASHISH

Now I know why Akash is my buddy, he just literally knows what I want . I was thinking about how I will ask her to share an apartment with me. I still remember how joyful our 10th grade was. Even though high school was good, missing such an important 'competitor' was evident in life, not only in mine but also in her friends.

It was so sad to see Anu distancing herself from other friends and most of her smiles are credited to Sheron's phone calls.

Today, I got to see the Sheron from high school, so bubbly, and with that same charisma she had from high school. But I had an intuition that she was hiding something. She was not like that before. She was like an open book as it was very easy to read her mind. It feels like a lot of things are going on in her life. Her eyes look lifeless and stressed out. It looks like she have lost her  happiness in life.

And I am more determined to find it back for her. At least. I owe her a lot.

I was damn happy that Akash suggested living together and now I will have more chances to interact with her.

SHERON

The day before my departure:

"Are you crazy", my mum said this for the tenth time that day while I was packing my bags.

"You're gonna live with a guy", she said shockingly.

"Mum, chill out. We are just going to be roommates. And that too only for a few months. No need to worry about it. After all, I know him well. He is a nice guy", I replied.

Unlike my father, it is very difficult to convince my mother.

"Mom, relax. I have known this boy for years. He is  a perfect gentleman. You don't have to worry about him"

"That's what you are saying. I am your mother. You won't understand my worries unless and until you are in my situation....."

There goes another heap of lecture on motherhood.

But our conversation was interrupted by a call.

" Hello", I answered the call.

"Hi"

" Hi, Sheron, it's me, Aashish. I guess you haven't saved my number after all. Well, I called to know the time of your flight and when you will arrive here so that I can pick you up", Aashish mumbled.

"Oh, I'm sorry Aashish, I was so tired that day and I forgot to save your number. Yes, my flight is at 9:00 pm tomorrow. And, well, Thankyou for letting me stay in your apartment. You really helped me a lot. I don't know how to return the favor".

"It's not a big deal. I was actually thinking about sharing my apartment. I am more happy that I am sharing it with you."

I was blushing like a ripe tomato. God, how soothing is his voice. I could just hear him talk for hours even if he is just rambling about anything.

After telling him my flight details, I hung up the phone.

Before heading for a good sleep, I closed my packing list for my departure.

"Bye-bye dear, study well"

Call us when you reach there", my parents said with tearful eyes.

Of course, I can't blame them because it's been a long time since I was away from my home. Telling my goodbyes, I left for my flight, waiting for the dreamland which seems to be much closer to me now.

Sorry about the long delay for publishing this part. I had to make few changes. I will try to update the upcoming chapters soon.
