Everyone was a bit exhausted from being in the sun all day so everyone decided to just go to some food trucks instead of doing a barbecue. "I got two tacos, four quesadillas, and three tamales for a.... Paige Buckers?" Paige blushed in embarrassment as her name had been butchered

She wasn't mad tho, the man obviously had a very thick Latin accent so she wasn't mad that he might've not been able to sound it out. She smiled and paid the man.

Everyone was eating but Nika kept her eye on a certain girl. She was staring really hard at their picnic table that sat right in front of the truck.

She wasn't staring at just anyone. She was staring at what looked to be, Emma. Nika would catch the girls eye and she'd immediately go back to what she was doing but after a bit she'd look back at her and notice she went back to staring.

She looked at Madison and saw the girl invested in her own conversation with Grace to notice. She wouldn't say anything since maybe the girl knew Emma or maybe she thought she was cute. Who knows.

She also didn't wanna worry the girl. The day was almost over and she could just make sure that Madison gets through the day without worrying. She's still going to keep an eye on the girl.

"So..." everyone looked at Emma "as you know. We're nearing day three of our vacation and I found this really nice club that we can all go to. It's deep in the heart of Miami. Don't worry apparently there's good security so nothing should go wrong" Emma knew what to say to calm her sisters nerves and it seemed to have worked

Nika noticed the mysterious girl's invisible dog ears perk up at the sound of their plans for tomorrow. She made a mental note to keep a closer eye out tomorrow.

"Im so excited. I've got this black, low cut dress that I've been DYING to wear" Ciara tells her best friend "ooh girl I better see you bringing home someone tomorrow" they do their handshake and everyone keeps finishing their food.

"Ready to go?" Georgia asks "Yes, please. I'm starting to get tired. I gotta sleep after feasting like a king" Emma said

Once everyone got home, everyone went straight to their respective rooms. Madison couldn't sleep though. She decided to just sit on a barstool and drink some juice to help ease her mind. She felt on edge and uneasiness again. It just creeped up on her.

"Can't sleep?" She turned and saw Nika. She shook her head and patted the barstool next to her "That feeling keeps washing over me and I don't know how to get rid of it" Nika nods her head

"Look, everything will be okay. Maybe it's just your sisterly instincts kicking in because we're on vacation far away from home and you're just trying to make sure she's safe. But trust me when I tell you this, she's got all of us who aren't gonna let anything happen to her" Madison smiled a weak smile and tried to understand but she couldn't

"Thanks for coming along on this trip. It means a lot" Nika shook her head "I would've probably snuck my ass on the plane if you guys left without me" they both laughed and feel into a comfortable silence for a minute

"Hey, I just wanted to apologize for what happened between us a few months ago" Madison turns to her with a blank expression at first as she lets her finish "I shouldn't have said that. You were right. I didn't mean it. I let my anger get the best of me and I lost what probably would've been the best relationship I'd ever been in" Madison smiled at her and shook her head

"I should've came out sooner and told you exactly what the song was about. It wasn't fair of me to expect you to react so positively to it. I wanted to go back in time and just stop myself from finishing that song just so that way I wouldn't have ruined things but hey. Things always turn around for the most. Right?" Nika smiled and nodded her head

"We both messed up but we're both recognizing our mistakes and apologizing. That's the first step" Nika smiles. She feels like she's got another shot. She's hoping that Caitlin fucks up so that way she can come and swoop in to pick up the pieces but she knows she'll have to wait.

"I'm glad we settled that out. Now tell me. How are things with you and Caitlin" Madison sighs

"I have this gut instinct that I should've forced her to come with me on this trip instead of letting her go to Vegas" Nika looks at her confused. Could she be implying what she thinks she is?

"What makes you say that?" Madison sighs again and just rubs her face with her right hand while she takes another sip out of the cup in her left.

"She's just been acting weird. Kind of like when I kept something from my mom and never told her because I knew how she'd react" Nika shakes her head

"I feel like I know what you're trying to say and I'm here to ease your worries. Caitlin would never do such a thing to you. I'm sure everyone's already informed that they'd happily beat her up if she did? Exactly. So just don't let that pretty little head even think about self sabotaging you." Madison laughs and hugs the girl

"thanks for always being here for me. You're amazing" she heads up to her room for the night, after washing her cup and putting it on the dish rack.

Once she was out of sight, Nika smiled to herself.

Maybe the trip was exactly what she needed
