IRL

Madison had walked to the girls practice and just sat down in Geno's office. She smiled as she saw a giant frame of Emma's LSU media day photo right next to his photo.

He walked in with a soft smile as he sat at his chair across Madison. "Hey, kid" Madison smiled at him but it quickly fell "How you holding up?" Madison shrugged her shoulders

"I see her in my dreams. Well nightmares. I keep thinking about that night and what she must've went through. I keep thinking of different scenarios in which I could've saved her" he nods his head

"Keep going" he pushes her. He wants her to really open up and to really understand what's wrong. He just wants Madison to stop blaming herself.

"I just kept looking out for her the entire time on our trip and the one time I decided not to..." she starts tearing up

"I just- I just feel like I could've been a better sister to her" Madison starts to softly cry and Geno goes over and hugs her. He rubs her back while rocking side to side.

"Madison..." he looks at her "It's. Not. Your. Fault. You were a good sister to her. Everyone in the freaking universe that knew you guys could see that. You can't see the future. There's no way that you would've predicted that she was gonna go the way she did. You are a good sister and you did everything you could to ensure that your sister was safe. The only person that should feel any kind of guilt is the person who did this" Madison sniffled as she nodded her head

"Wanna stay for the girls practice? I feel you may need KK to cheer you up" Madison smiled and walked with Geno to the gym

The girls were stretching and smiled when they saw the singer but were concerned because it looked like she'd just cried. "Go sit over there, Maddie. I'm gonna talk to these girls for a second" she left to sit on the bleaches and Geno had them huddle around him

"Usually I wouldn't condone this but because this is my god daughter, I will allow it. I need you guys to make Madison laugh and smile today. I need you all to act as you would but times it by 10. I want you guys to still practice like normal but have more funny and crazy energy. I want you guys to be more annoying than usual, can you do that?" They nodded their heads and he released them for practice

"Madison!" Madison saw Azzi call her and asked what she needed. Azzi pointed at her "This one's for you" she threw the ball and made it in at the free throw line

"Pfft... girl back the fuck up. Madison, this one's for you" Paige said as she shot a bit farther back and made it in. Madison started to smile as Paige got hit by a basketball. She saw Nika smiling

"Girl, boo. MADISON! This one.... Is for you" Nika turns around and shoots the ball. Madison's mouth falls open and everyone watches as the ball goes into the air

"Swish" the ball makes it into the net and everyone starts cheering. "YEAH! I ATE THAT ONE UP, HUH!" She told Madison who laughed

Throughout practice, the girls would constantly do a bit of their practice and joke around with Madison. Even Geno would play along and that would make Madison laugh the most.
