For years your father wasn't in your life. The memories were a little foggy but this is what happened from as much as you know.

Your mother and father had you. They both wanted one child, especially your father. But years later your mother got pregnant. She had no issue with this and wanted you to have siblings, your father on the otherhand? Not so much. He didn't want the responsibility of caring for more than one child. He begged your mother to get rid of it.

She grew up with siblings and had an amazing experience, both of them could support another child too.

He wasn't convinced.

They fought and argued, you were five years old at the time. You can remember them fighting every night, hardly paying any attention to you. Not every detail, but enough to leave a mark.

He tried to give your mother one more chance to get rid of it but she refused. The pregnancy was too far along, it felt inhumane to her to terminate that far in without a reason besides his selfishness.

He was there at the hospital when your little brother was born, after that you never saw him again. You were about six at the time.

This was when shit really hit the fan. Your growing family had now lost half of your income now trying to support three people. You moved into a smaller apartment, your mother started taking out loans and asking for money. She left you and your brother at her sisters house while she worked her second job.

Between the fighting of your parents and the absence of your father, you got less and less attention.

It wasn't neglect or lack of love.

The father to your siblings is their story to tell.

Years later at Shiratoraizawa he messaged you. This was a complete shock because it happened on a random night while watching a movie with Jima. He was concerned and furious at your father for what he put you and your family through.

He apologized for everything and any trauma he may have caused you or your brother. He never once apologized for what he did to your mother though.

For a few months you and him talked, he asked about your life and school. He mentioned how proud he was of you and how beautiful you've become. Until the day came when he decided he was ready to see you again.

And you were too.

As angry as you've been at him for your entire life, you couldn't help but feel excited to see him again.

That was your dad.

You used to be daddy's little girl.

The night came when he asked to meet you at the train station around six pm. He told you he would take you to a nice restaurant with good food and good service.

His new job made a lot of money and sometimes he would give you money for food or clothes or books at the library. It was his small way of making up for all the damage he had done. It meant a lot too, he was trying to be better.

Six pm, a young girl dressed in a nice dinner dress to meet her father after almost ten years.

He never showed up.

Throughout the whole day, all you could think about was seeing him. He messaged you about how excited he was to treat you to a nice dinner and give you the best father-daughter hug possible.

The high hopes he gave you could never amount to how soul-crushing this was. You waited and waited on the train station bench, already bought the ticket.

At 6:27 he messaged you, "Sorry sweetheart, I just couldn't do it. See ya, goodnight."

How the hell do you think I feel?

Jima got a knock on his door, met with a girl sobbing into her curls in a nice dinner dress holding her small heels.

She choked on whatever words she was trying to muster up. "He...He didn't show up"

He pulled her in for a hug and held her head as she cried and cried into his shoulder.

He apologized for how awful that made her feel.

The rest was history and she never heard from that man ever again.
