A few days had passed since the Mugen train incident and Y/N was sitting at the side of Kyojuro's bed. The man was wrapped in bandages, some over his eye, his hip, his stomach. But he was alive. And he'd recover. Watching his sleeping form, Y/N couldn't help but feel guilty for not preventing his injuries. She softly brushed a strand of fiery blonde hair out of his face, her cold fingers lingering against his warm cheek for a few seconds, caressing a small scar from the previous fight. The upper moon she fought was the upper three. He was strong. Very strong. Yet, Y/N was stronger than him. And if she trained more, maybe she could also beat Upper Moon 2 and 1. And if she could beat them, the next step would be Muzan Kibutsuji himself.

„Rest well, Kyojuro."

Y/N whispered, placing a small bowl of Onigiri on the nightstand, in case he wanted to eat something later. As she walked back into the kitchen, she caught sight of Zenitsu, who was sneakily changing the Ohagi Aoi had made for them for some imitations. She raised a brow and followed the blonde, tapping his shoulder.

„Stealing food, are we?"

Zenitsu turned around, his eyes hazy. He was tired from the incident, yet he felt relief wash over him as he saw Y/N.

„I.. Uhm.."

The woman smiled.

„It's fine. I won't snitch. This time. Come on, let's go see what the others are doing."

Zenitsu nodded slowly, walking into the room where Tanjiro and Inosuke were supposed to be resting.

„Tanjiro! Guess what I go-"

He was interrupted by the slam of a small head into his own. He fell back, landing in Y/N's arms. The young girl that had bumped into him was Kiyo, one of the little girls working in the estate.

„I'm so sorry! But Tanjiro is gone! I can't find him anywhere! And- And he's supposed to be resting! He still has some injuries! Shinobu is also mad!"

A sigh left Y/N's lips. She knew exactly where Tanjiro was. Without any further words, she turned around to leave the room, walking through the corridors and into the garden. She'd catch up with him.

Tanjiro was jogging through a village, eagerly following Kyojuro's crow. He was on his way to the Rengoku estate, to pass on the message that Kyojuro would survive his injuries. After a few more metres, he stopped, panting. His legs hurt. A lot. The Hinokami Kagura he used on the train had really taken a lot out of him, resulting in a few torn muscles in his legs. Just as he was about to stumble, a familiar strong pair of arms wrapped around him.

„Easy."

Y/N's voice mumbled as she helped him stand straight. Her expression was one of concern mixed with curiosity.

„Why didn't you wait for me? I could brought us here faster."

Her tone was soft, yet it held a sharp edge. She was worried about him, as always. Tanjiro let out a defeated chuckle.

„I'm sorry, Nee-san. I.. just wanted to follow the crow as fast as possible and pass on the message that Kyojuro will be okay. And you were still visiting Rengoku-san."
