As Hinata descended the stairs, his steps careful and hushed, Prince Kageyama's eyes flicked towards him. Their gazes locked, a mixture of surprise and longing in the prince's eyes.

Prince Kageyama took in Hinata's disheveled hair and flushed cheeks, the sight of him making his heart race.

"May I try on the slipper?" Hinata asked the prince.

Prince Kageyama blinked, torn between the sight of Hinata appearing like a vision before him and the obvious anger seething from Hinata's step-mother and sisters. As if in a trance, the prince held up the glass slipper, extending it towards Hinata.

"Yes," Prince Kageyama breathed, his voice barely above a whisper. "Please."

Hinata's step-sisters exchanged shocked and outraged glances, their carefully laid plans crumbling at Hinata's arrival. Daichi's face contorted with anger and betrayal.

Hinata carefully took the slipper from Prince Kageyama, holding it with reverence. The room seemed to hold its breath as he gently slipped off his own shoes and prepared to try on the glass slipper.

But before Hinata could even place the slipper on his foot, Daichi, unable to control her rage any longer, made a sudden move. She feigned accidentally tripping, her actions sending the glass slipper crashing onto the ground. The delicate slipper shattered into countless pieces, the shards echoing the broken hopes and dreams of both Hinata and Prince Kageyama.

A hush fell over the room, the atmosphere thickened with tension and shock. Hinata's step-sisters stood frozen, disbelief written across their faces, and Daichi herself looked satisfied with her act, a twisted smirk playing on her lips.
Prince Kageyama stood frozen in place, his eyes wide as he watched the shattered glass slipper at Hinata's feet. Frustration and sadness warred within him.

Hinata was about to lose hope when he remembered something. "Oh.. let me just get something quickly," Hinata said hurriedly, running off into another room.

Prince Kageyama watched him go, his confusion quickly giving way to anticipation.

Daichi and the step-sisters exchanged baffled glances, their earlier victory quickly crumbling at Hinata's sudden departure.

Hinata reappeared, his face lit up with determination, holding the second glass slipper in his hand. The room fell silent once more, the shattered slipper lying uselessly on the ground while its twin glimmered in Hinata's grasp.

Prince Kageyama's eyes widened with disbelief at the sight of the second slipper. It couldn't be a mere coincidence. This was fate.

Prince Kageyama took the slipper from Hinata, eyeing it with a mix of hope and caution. It seemed too good to be true, yet the second slipper fit him like a glove, the perfect match to the one he had been searching for.

The room held its breath as the prince looked down at his foot, his eyes widening in amazement. "It fits..." he whispered, the word both a realization and a confirmation of something magical brewing between him and Hinata.

The revelation hung heavily in the air. The step-sisters were rendered speechless, their faces falling at the sight of the perfectly fit slipper on Prince Kageyama's foot. Daichi, on the other hand, looked on in horror, her wicked plan shattered into millions of pieces.

As for Hinata, his face was a mix of relief, joy, and awe.

Prince Kageyama looked at Hinata, his eyes locking onto his dance partner, the one who had stolen his heart from the very first dance. "It's you..." he breathed out, a soft and incredulous smile on his face.

Hinata's face flushed and lit up with a shy smile as Prince Kageyama looked at him with awe and recognition.

"It's me..." Hinata confirmed softly, the unspoken words lingering in the air -  "it was always you"

In that moment, reality set in for all those gathered in the room - Daichi, the step-sisters, and even the mice hiding nearby. There was no denying the truth. Prince Kageyama and Hinata were meant to be together.

The step-sisters exchanged defeated glances, their hopes of becoming royalty vanishing into thin air. Daichi stood in shock, her scheme thwarted by love.

Meanwhile, Prince Kageyama approached Hinata, pulling him gently into a hug. "It was you all along," he whispered, the emotion in his voice palpable. "I knew there was something special about the person who wore this slipper."

Hinata wrapped his arms around Prince Kageyama, feeling tears of joy prickling at the corners of his eyes. Being in his arms felt so right, so perfect, as if their hearts had always been searching for each other.

"It feels like a dream," Hinata whispered, his voice thick with emotion. "But I never want to wake up."
