Part II: Regrets

N Flew through the Blizzarding Sky making his way back to the corpse spire by the city. He lands on the top not bothering to make a good landing as he crashes onto the top of the spire, his visor slightly cracking as he sobs. He wraps his arms around himself as he digs his fingers into his arms, drawing oil as he winced but he didn't care. His sobs filling the night sky as he eventually calmed down. His tired eyes staring up at the moon of Copper-9. His hand bringing up Uzi's bracelet as he connects it to his own forming a full Heart. His fragile mind once again breaking down as he cried. He curls his body up and shields himself with his wings. He stays there for a few hours before he noticed the sun starting to peek up from the horizon. He quickly makes his way into the spire knowing he wouldn't make it back to the Colony in time. He enters the Dropship before seeing a few of Uzi's personal effects causing tears to well in his eyes as he shuddered, holding back his cries as he walked towards the console. He grabs her notebook as he flips through the pages. A collection of Drawings of them as he smiled

"I promised I'd find you Uzi. And I will. Wherever you are"

N said as he stuffed the journal into his jacket. He shuts himself off not wanting to dream again. But it was vain....he was too tired, and eventually he would drift off into sleep

—Uzi's POV—

It was dark....dark, cold and a twinge of pain coursing through her body. Uzi's Badly damaged Visor blinks on as she hyperventilates. Her arms barely able to push the heavy piece of rubble off of her. She opens up her mouth to yell for help but her voice box only responded with a grinding noise, that's when she noticed the pain in her throat....a piece of rebar stabbing completely through decimating her Voicebox. The Worker drone panics as she scratches at the rubble hoping someone.....anyone would save her. As she flailed helplessly she felt something. A Weakened piece of Rubble. She pushes the rubble off and after more struggling she was free. Once out she crawled to the surface, eventually ripping out the piece of rebar as her A.S program began to repair her throat

"A....."

She tried to speak but was met with a crackling noise which sent a piercing pain through her body. She collapsed before coughing out a mass of Oil. She searched the rubble before making her way up the Elevator shaft and out of the Labs. She needed to get to the colony....she needed help....she needed oil. And just then her HUD would alert her to her critical temperature. She lets out a pained noise as she collapsed onto the snow

"......N...h-help me-"

She cried out through her damaged voice box before her system automatically shuts down causing her to black out as she falls onto the snow. Alone.....I'm the middle of know-where

-N's POV-

A alarm wakes N up as he groans, slapping his face to shut off the noise before getting up. His joint creaking due to rust as he exits the landing pod. His breath fogging with the cold air. He began his trek back to the colony. His jacket stained with his own oil. After a 2 hour walk he would arrive at the main Gate. He knocks on the door before it opens slightly revealing Khan on the other side

"N!. Where were you. V was looking for you all night"

Khan said letting in the tired drone as N pushes the bracelet into his chest

"We couldn't find her. I'm sorry"

N said dryly as he pushed past Khan again. He makes his way to his house before entering. He opens the fridge and grabs a Can of oil before ripping it open spilling some of it as he gulped it down

The bathroom door opens as V, fresh from a shower walks out. She rushes to N before hugging him

"You idiot. Where were you! You didn't come back last night I thought you we-"

N stopped her speaking as he basically pried himself from her embrace. He didn't say anything before he locks himself in his room. He takes off his jacket and traces the scars on his Arms. Badly healed scars peppered his arms and Chassis

"This is all your fault N. You could've stayed with her. You could've helped her. Why did you have to be a coward. For one in your fucking life!"

N yelled at himself in the mirror. He switched his hand into his laser gun before pointing it directly into where his core would be. One quick trigger pull is all it would take. He could be reunited with Uzi. One pull and the pain would be all over. But he couldn't do it. What V said resonated through him. What if Uzi was still alive. What if he could see her again. His thoughts were caught short as his legs failed making him fall. The rusting was getting worse. It was eating away at his joints now. N sighed as he grabbed a can of paint and painted over the rust again. He didn't have time to worry about that, he needed to find Uzi. N Weakly got back up once the paint dried before grabbing his jacket and slipping it back on. He opened the door and walked back outside. If she wasn't at the labs then he'd search the area around. If she wasn't there he'd search all of Copper-9. He didn't care how long it took he needed to. As he exited the house he was quickly Knocked out by something. As he began to regain consciousness he could hear the sound of beeping. Once he was awake he noticed his arms were bound, he was in the infirmary wing, his arms and joints covered in bandages as he struggled, a doctor came in before he fully panicked

"Mr.N. You're awake. I'm sorry for the restraints they're there for your safety"

The doctor said as N's sensors couldn't exactly focus on his face

"Why am I here. Let me go, I need to get out of here"

N said as he thrashed around

"I'm afraid that's not possible at the moment. Your limbs and body have been through incredible damage and rusting. You were brought in so you can recuperate. I assume you gained the damage searching for Ms. Doorman?"

The doctor asked as N snapped at him

"Don't you say her Name"

N hissed as he struggled

"Let me out now!. I have to find her, you don't understand I made her a promise I need to f-"

"Your friends are out there looking for her until you recover. Just please rest N. Doctors orders"

The elderly Drone said before leaving. Thousands of thoughts went through N's head....V. She knocked him out and got him put here. There wasn't much he could do. He had magnets on his body preventing him from doing much and the restraints were doing their job. He sighed as he dozed off to sleep again

—Thad's POV—

Thad Typed away at the Tablet he was given by Khan Marking off another sector they searched but nothing. He was paired with Lizzy and V. V was in the sky searching like a Raptor as both him and Lizzy searched the ground. Thad sighs before his foot hit something making a Metallic Thud. He swiped off the snow piled on the object as his eyes widened. It was Uzi
