“Bye, Mom!” Raimu got his shoes on and was about to run out the door. “I’m going to see Cori!”
“Now wait just a minute! You’re not going anywhere!” Chi-Chi snapped at him from behind and he instantly froze in place.
“…Eh?”
“Yeah, you shouldn’t really be going, Raimu.” Goten ended up agreeing with their mom to his complete shock.
That really got him worried and he stayed turned around so they didn’t see his sweaty face. “You, too, Goten? Why can’t I go?”
Chi-Chi crossed her arms and he didn't have to look at her to know she was angry. “You disappeared for two days and you think you can go out now?!”
“Yeah, what happened?” Goten asked, putting his hands on his hips.
Raimu didn't know how to respond and he slowly turned around to face them. “Uh…well…”
His brother went over to him and lowered his voice to hide what he was going to say. “I sensed really strong people. What were you guys doing? Who were you guys fighting…?”
“I'll explain later, it's a…long story.” He whispered back and remembered his mom was still waiting on an answer. “Look, I just really want to go to Capsule Corp., Mom!”
“You're not going!” Chi-Chi gave an instant response and huffed, crossing her arms and being set on her answer.
‘But I have to check on the others…’
He tried thinking of what to do next. There was no way he wouldn't go today. It had been a few days since everything had happened and he only now asked to go out. He knew it would be difficult to explain everything to his mom and the reaction he'd get wouldn't be a pretty one.
The last thing he wanted to do was not know about how the others were doing. Several of them he really did want to check on.
An idea came to mind and though it wasn't the best, he knew it was the only way. “I'm super sorry, Mom!”
Chi-Chi was confused by the sudden apology, raising a brow almost in suspicion. “Huh?”
Before she got an answer, he ended up running out the door as fast as he could. He didn't look behind him since he knew exactly how his mom would look.
“RAIMU?!”
“SORRY!” Raimu called out after her and began flying, clapping his hands together. “I’LL MAKE IT UP TO YOU BY DOING CHORES WHEN I’M BACK!”
Her entire face turned red in anger and she yelled out his name, “RAIMU!”
“TELL TRUNKS I SAID HI!” Goten called out after him and got a thumbs up in return.
“WILL DO!” The wind blew his hair in his face as Raimu pushed it back, letting out a sigh. ‘I just wanted to check on the others in case anything new happened…I want everyone to be alright.’
He continued flying as fast as he could to the Capsule Corp. building. Looking down at the city, it was normal like it always was. At least nothing bad happened in the city so it was fine by him. Seeing the building, he began descending down.
Knowing that he was sensed earlier, someone already went out. He waved to his friend.
“Hey, Raimu!” Cori stopped waving once he landed in front of him, putting his hands in his pockets.
“Hey there.” Raimu fixed his hair since the wind messed it up, trying to at least look cool. “Had to be late just to cause suspense, you know?”
“Yeah, I would've just dragged you out of the house myself. Why were you late?”
