Summary: In which Margot isn't as tough as Rihanna thinks. Set after the interview, before Max told Margot he knew about Marih. Short but filled with fluff.
Off Guard
Margot's P.O.V.
"Honey! I'm home!" I sung happily as I entered our hotel room. Well, hers. Mine was left untouched downstairs because I was only interested in sharing a room with my beautiful girlfriend. Plus, she had the penthouse suite.
Robyn was waiting on the couch, sipping at coconut water. I immediately wrinkled my nose at the sight. "This is gonna be a bit of a deal breaker, but this is a hotel." she told me sarcastically, then giggled a little as I danced goofily towards her.
"Home is wherever you are, my dear." I winked, extending my hand for her to take.
She pretended to be annoyed, rolling her eyes with a smile. "You're so fucking cheesy." Robyn said and took my hand.
I pulled her close and laid my hand gently on her waist. "Only for you." I nuzzled her neck. "I've missed you."
"You were only at rehearsal for three hours." She laughed, baring her neck for me to kiss. "What's been up with you lately?"
I had been awfully clingy these past few days, showering her with affection and being a goofy romantic. We'd been together for a few weeks, and now that our relationship wasn't solely sexual, we did more couple-y things. Although fucking wasn't ever out of the question.
I wasn't even sure what the cause of my affection was. Cuddling was always a secret love of mine.
"I just love you, is all." I replied quietly, still holding on to her. "Wanna watch a horror movie?"
Robyn traced my cheekbone with her thumb, head cocked from the sudden subject change. "Uh, sure?"
"Cool. Then let's watch Insidious."
"Which one?"
"The third. Got a copy from a friend." I grinned. "You haven't watched it, right?"
"Nope." She settled onto the couch.
"Same. I heard it was really fucking good."
I made her put the movie on while I handled the popcorn. For some reason my popcorn always ended up better than hers. I had a connection with microwaves.
Once it was out, I dumped it in a bowl and jumped on the couch next to her. Robyn scolded me for spilling some and threw them at my face, though I caught most with my mouth. What happened in the bedroom (and out of it!) gave me practice for this kind of thing.
The movie started off pretty good. I was anxious for something scary to happen so Robyn would cuddle into my arms. That way I wouldn't look so clingy. It was mainly the reason I had suggested it.
It wasn't until the demon started showing itself that I started jumping in my seat a little. The guy that lent me the movie was right, it was one of the scariest I'd ever seen. Robyn would wrap her hand around my wrist as a silent question if I was okay, and I would intertwine my fingers with hers as an affirmative every time. Except for one scare that had me yelp in a high pitch.
Concerned, Robyn quickly paused the movie and grabbed onto me. "Are you okay?" she asked, her arms quick to tie themselves around me.
"Y-yeah." I gulped. "Caught me off guard a bit. You can play it again."
"Why don't we wait until you're calmer?" she suggested.
I thought about it. "It might help if I sat on your lap."
"Go ahead, babe." Robyn smiled and pecked my cheek. She immediately started to do all of my favorite comfort things, from stroking my hair to kissing my collarbones.
"Hmmm." I moaned as she licked across my chest. I moved to straddle her and rocked my hips, begging for contact.
"Whoa." she laughed nervously. "What're you doing?"
"Relaxing." I said frustratedly. "Help a girl out, yeah?"
"What about the movie?" she tried again.
I stopped, a little weirded out that she was actually trying to deny me. "What's up with you?"
"Nothing, it's just...not the right time for me."
"What do you me-oh." I laughed in realization. "Not the right time...of the month."
"Yeah, yeah." she grumbled. "I mean, I could do you, but I'm a bit greedy right now."
I shook my head fondly. "Nah, we'll just wait 'till you're done. Let's watch the rest."
I got off her lap and she moved into my arms, burying her face in my chest. "Play it." she mumbled into my shirt.
"Aye, aye, captain." I mock-saluted, and we watched the rest of the movie. Without me being scared...until the very end, at least. But at least I had Robyn to hold me.
