Jareau Reid never knew her actual last name. As she was put up for adoption as a toddler. She could barely remember her brother. But that's all she could remember as well as her first name Althea. Thea was put through foster homes before she was taken by an unsub who was stopped by the BAU team.
There she met Spencer Reid and Jennifer Jareau, her saviours. The first people she had taken to after her brother. Spencer and JJ made a decision to adopt her. Thea immediately began training to join the team. Eventually, she did. Now she has two more brothers and a large happy family.
