The hours passed in an almost imperceptible way. The campfire, which once burned fervently, gradually died down until it was completely extinguished, consumed by the wear of time. However, the darkness of the night did not last forever. Instead, the sunlight emerged triumphant, illuminating the scene with the warm tones of a spectacular sunrise that gradually woke me up. I stretched, yawning, as my eyes adjusted to the new brightness.
When I could finally see clearly, I noticed the knight beside me. He was already awake, which took me by surprise. Had he been waiting for me to wake up? Or maybe, had he been watching me while I slept? I couldn't help but wonder.

Lost in my thoughts, I noticed the knight extending his hand to me. Without hesitation, I took it and stood up. My gaze then fell on the little wolf, still sleeping peacefully. I was about to wake him up too, but the knight had already started to walk away. His decision to leave the wolf alone puzzled me, but I knew he wasn't in danger in this forest, so I decided to follow the knight.I had barely taken a few steps when I heard a joyful howl behind me. Turning around, I saw the wolf running towards us, his tail wagging with pure happiness. I couldn't resist crouching down and stroking his soft fur. However, I noticed the knight's strange look. I wondered if he harbored any resentment towards the wolf, and that was when I noticed a bite mark on his armor. Had there been an incident between them in the past? Only time would tell.

Then, the knight, with a reluctant air, crouched down to give directions to the little wolf. I imagine the direction he gave was to his home. Once the knight and the wolf parted ways, we were left alone, creating the perfect opportunity to ask the question that had been on my mind. With a voice full of curiosity, I asked:

Coco: What's your name?

He looked at me, a smile playing on his lips, and with a kind and slightly sharp voice, he replied:

?: My name is Abdiel, and yours?

Hearing his response, I found myself returning the smile, and I replied:Coco: Mine is Coco. It's a pleasure to meet you, Abdiel.Somehow, his contagious smile made me smile too, and for the first time in a long time, I felt genuinely happy.

Then, at that moment, I came to the conclusion that maybe I could trust that, for once, my curse would not dominate me. No, it wouldn't, not again. I promised myself that I would control it and not let what happened last time happen again. While I was immersed in my thoughts about this, the knight... that is, Abdiel, kept walking for a while until he finally stopped and took something out of his inventory. It was a wooden staff, simple but efficient. He handed it directly to me and said calmly, "Here, this might be useful to you."At that moment, I was surprised at how he knew I needed a tool like that. At first, I had no idea that the staff controlled magic. I didn't even have a hint of it. But instead of questioning it, I decided to make the most of this new tool that had been given to me.So I pointed the staff, took a deep breath... and boom! Suddenly, I managed to conjure a small piece of ice.

It seems that thanks to this staff, I could now use my magic without endangering anyone. After so much effort, I finally achieved it. To express my eternal gratitude, I bowed to the knight. Although we did not exchange words, we both understood that from that day on, we would become a formidable team.
