It was around 6:30 when you got back to your dorm. You were a little tired, but you still wanted to go out. You had promised yourself that this year you would go outside of your comfort zone, try new things and be social. As soon as you walked through the door you began to pick out your clothes, so you rummaged through your drawers and closet looking for the perfect outfit and after a good ten or fifteen minutes you finally picked out something. You picked out this black midi dress that had lace trimming on the top and bottom, it wasn't tight fitting but it wasn't loose either, you paired it with short black block heels and a cropped black mesh sweater. You touched up your makeup and hair from earlier that morning. As soon as you put the brush down there was a knock on the door. You went to the door expecting it to be Ellie, but when you opened it Jordan was there in all their glory. They had this look on their face that you couldn't quite read, all you knew was that you weren't expecting them to be at your door tonight.

"Oh. Hey Jor." You side with a slight smile unsure of what they had to say or what they wanted. "Hey." You were waiting for them to say something else, but nothing came out so you filled in the gap. "Umm. What's up?" They looked you up and down before responding. "I just wanted to see if you wanted to hangout tonight, but it looks like you wont be able to." You looked at them for a moment trying to figure out the change in character, this morning that acted as though you had the plague and now they wanted to hangout with you. "Yeah. I'm going out tonight." They cocked their head to the side with an expression you could finally read, irritation. "Oh?" You repeated the same action. "Yep. And they're gonna be here soon." A confused look crossed their face. "They?" You nodded your head. "I met this girl in one of my classes and they invited me out." "What's her name?" "Ellie." There was a small pause and you and Jordan were just staring at the other, unsure of what to say next. That's when you saw her at the corner of your eye, Ellie. She walked up to you both with this bright smile on her face. "Wow Y/N you look amazing." You turned towards her and you felt happy, you smiled up at her. " You don't look too bad yourself." She had on a mens tank top and a short sleeved plaid button down, that showed off her tattoo's perfectly, and these baggy jeans. She looked good, well she always looked good, but it was a different type of good, very close to hot. Then Jordan cleared their throat.

"Right. Ellie, this is Jordan. Jordan, this is Ellie." Ellie smiled at them and stretched out her hand. "Hey." Jordan looked at it for a second then finally took it into theirs. "Hi." The atmosphere got really awkward and you didn't want to be in this situation any longer so you looked at Ellie and said. "Hey I'm gonna get my phone and then I'll be ready to go." You quickly rushed into your room grabbing your phone and your dorm key and walked out .

"Where are you going?" Jordan asked." We're going to a party." Ellie responded before you could get a chance. Jordan nodded their head. "Mind if I tagged along?" Jordan asked and you laughed a little and shook your head. You looked up at Ellie leaving the decision up to her, she sighed. "Yeah. Sure the more the merrier."

The walk to the party was short technically, but it felt as though it was taking forever, the air was awkward and it was like Jordan was stuck to your hip or something. Finally the walk was over and you could breathe to some degree. You all walked into the party and picked a little section of the room that you claimed. There were so many unfamiliar places and you felt out of place. The music was loud, smoke was in the air, and hot bodies were touching each other everywhere you looked. You weren't exactly sure what to do next, too scared to move from your spot.

"Do you want a drink?" Ellie asked. "Yes, please." You smiled shyly. "I got you. I'll be back." You nodded your head, and they were gone like the wind. Then there was just you and Jordan, The air felt a little lighter, but there was still something lingering. " The fundraiser is tomorrow. Are you ready to get a sponsor?" They chuckled at your remark. "What makes you think I'll get a sponsor?" They asked. "Well you're in the top ten for a reason, Jor. They don't give the position to just anyone. You earned that spot. People would be crazy not to sponsor you." They looked at you with a sad smile. "Then you'd be surprised by how many crazy people there are in this line of work." They let out this defeated laugh. "They don't care about my rank. They care if I can be profitable, and apparently I'm not." Before you could respond Ellie was back with your drink.

Time kinda flew by, you were four drinks in now and finally decided to move from your spot, you handed your empty cup to Jordan and made your way to the rest of the bodies in the middle of the room. Soon Ellie joined you and you just kept giggling at everything she said, the alcohol hitting you little by little. And she just smiled down at you as if you were some rare jewel. You did feel Jordan's stares, but you did your best to ignore them, wanting to live in the moment and not worry about others. You wished you could do this completely sober, but your mind always got the best of you, making you second guess everything. In this moment you felt free and like nothing could stop you.

Unfortunately that wasn't completely true, by your fifth drink you started to feel a little woozy. You chopped it up to it being because of you dancing too much.

"Sorry, but I think I have to cut the night short. I don't feel too good." You slurred a little. Ellie rubbed your arm. Walking you back over to Jordan. "That's okay. I can take you home." "What's wrong?" Jordan spoke coming near your side. "I just don't feel good." "I'll take you back to your dorm." You looked at both of them, and decided on Jordan. They had your phone and keys so you thought they were the better option. "Thanks for the offer Ellie, Jordan has my stuff so I'll go with them." Ellie nodded her head with a small smile. "Okay, get home safe." "You too."

After a lot of stumbling you finally made it to your dorm and Jordan opened the door for you. They helped you inside, asked you where your pajamas were and stayed by you until you were laying down under the covers.

"Get some rest, I'll see you tomorrow. Okay?" You nodded your head. "Thanks Jor." They smiled at you and shifted into their female form. "You're welcome." A smile grew on your face. "What they asked. Your smile grew. "I just like seeing this side of you too." They stared at you for a second, and it seemed like this weight was lifted off of their shoulders. They smiled at you and moved a piece of hair out of your face. "Night." They said with a smile. "Night." With that they were out the door.
