IV: The Fight Against Petuniya

"And today I once again assemble the seat. As most of you might know, there have been several reports of insect swarms. These insects are not native to Sharjasania, and according to researchers from the Sepiia Space Station, neither to Alirania or Ruda. I am kindly asking everyone to keep an extra eye on where these swarms come from, what they're doing and to kill them, so we can trace down where they come from", I said.
"If I cryofreeze a swarm right now and send it up for research, we might know what these insects are, right?", Intelligence Officer Tyrkys suggested.
"Brilliant idea. I suppose you will hunt for them right now. I will research the reports of people, and the rest of the Seat shall do as I've said earlier", I said.
Everyone nodded.

As the Seat disassembled, I scrolled through various reports. There have been reports of several homicides by bug swarming. These bugs all seemed to look the same. They must've came from somewhere. I decided to head outside and find Intelligence Officer Tyrkys for clues.
"Tyrkys, I see that you've caught a bug. I suppose we examinate this creature thoroughly", I said. "Understood, Shacc. I suppose we also call Kodai Akagi for this case", Intelligence Officer Tyrkys replied.
Thus, we headed to the Seat's intelligence department and did as planned. It took a while for Kodai to answer, but after twenty-eight attempts, he finally answered the call.
"Kodai Akagi, owner of the Sepiia Space Station. How may I assist you today?", he said over phone. "Oh, hello, Lord Shacc. What's the matter?"
"There currently is a swarm invasion on Sharjasania. We already managed to figure out that the insects here are not from any place in the Sojuran Galactic system, therefore we reached out to you for help", I said.
Intelligence Officer Tyrkys showed the dead bug.
"A mutated hercules beetle. Abstract colour patterns. This species comes from Terra, however, this one doesn't look like those who are initially from the planet. It's only possible that someone has bred these bugs to be larger, stronger and rely on flying. If you look closely at the patterns, you can vaguely see a dark red pulse. These insects usually live in clusters, so if you manage to find one, there must be at least twenty more nearby", Kodai Akagi said.
I and Intelligence Officer Tyrkys nodded, after which Kodai Akagi hung up.
"So, these insects are mutants in that case, I suppose. They are invasive, therefore, we must destroy all of them", Intelligence Officer Tyrkys said. "I agree", I said.

But before I could finish my sentence, I heard strange noises from the streets, accompanied by loud screams of fear.
"Let's continue talking later. Assemble the seat at Shark H.Q. I have to investigate this situation. Be sure to bring the new icicle helicopter prototypes with you", I said.
With that said, I quickly made my way to the Central Haibourg district, where I, to my surprise saw strange mutated anthropomorphic insects attack other humans. There were also vast swarms of several beetles flying all over the city.
"This isn't good", I said. "Blessings of Jinzekura! Chains of light!"
Luckily most mutated insects were chained down by the light. As the Shape's power engulfed me, I arose up.
"Dear citizens of Sharjasania, please find shelter in private property as soon as possible. Due to an unknown invasion of insects, going outside is dangerous. Damage will be insured by the Seat itself", I shouted, making sure everyone could hear the message.
 As people started evacuating quickly, Intelligence Tyrkys and Harmony Officer Talia arrived.
"Tyrkys, Talia, as you see, these creatures have taken over the city", I said.
In front of me, I saw a person running away, however, a bug dissolved into their skull, took them over and turned them into one of these mutated insects.
"This has got to be the most disgusting enemy Sharjasania ever faced", Harmony Officer Talia said.
She activated her fire gloves and used them to shoot fireballs at the mutant, scorching away the mutating insect shell. A burned insect fell on the ground as the person, a Crystalline man slowly turned normal, the insect horns and pulsating marks on their skin slowly fading away.
"This reminds me of the insect girl Luna brought with her during the Luwigian Invasion", Intelligence Officer Tyrkys said.

"Missed me?", a grim female voice said.
As everyone turned around to where the voice was coming from, thousands of large beetles formed a spiral, where eventually, Petuniya, the Blinded Vassal from Luwig revealed herself.
"You are the creator of this swarm, am I right?", I asked.
Petuniya remained silent. She then started looking around the city. There were stains of blood everywhere, most likely from mutants.With a few movements of her fingers, those puddles of blood turned into masses of soldiers wielding hammers.
"Freeze or evaporate the blood", I said. "Let's take care of this swarm, quickly".
That's how I, Intelligence Officer Tyrkys and Harmony Officer Talia quickly got into position, ready to face what was coming next.
"Face, the will of the swarm!", Petuniya shouted.
Millions of rhinoceros beetles, hercules beetles and stag beetles flew towards us. "Make sure they won't get into your head!", Harmony Officer Talia said.
She created a massive firewall with her gloves that completely destroyed every beetle that flew towards us.
"Tyrkys, freeze the blood, Talia, burn the bugs. I'll go for the insect girl", I said.
Everyone nodded and we parted ways to defeat the creature that has been waging destruction all over Sharjasania for days.I enhanced the powers of the light, all of it being concentrated within my body. Considering that Petuniya didn't possess any blessings but still held this amount of power, she would probably have several tricks up her sleeve.I stealthily dodged every bug racing towards me and was ready to disintegrate Petuniya with he power of pure light. If she was partially insect, then any element would decimate her with ease. However, while I was racing towards her, I've noticed Justice Officer Dodogy just walk towards us.
"Sorry, I'm late!", she said.
However, she wasn't aware of the situation.
"Get out of here!", I, Intelligence Officer Tyrkys and Harmony Officer Talia all shouted to warn her.
But it was too late. Petuniya spotted someone with tremendous power, and sent a massive hercules beetle to use her as a host. Before being able to react, Justice Officer Dodogy was already taken over by the beetle.Her vibrant yellow hair started to slowly turn a darker fade and grew drastically, with two horns facing forward growing out of her head. Her skin turned into a shell while her clothing partially ripped due to the dense shell. Within seconds, she turned into as much of a monster like Petuniya herself.
"Destroy", Petuniya said.
Dodogy, who now has power similar to Petuniya, was controlled by the bug. She started attacking me by brute punching and horn stabbing.

In the mean time, Intelligence Officer Tyrkys froze all all blood soldiers. He then used bomber icicle helicopters to break every single one in pieces, making sure they wouldn't melt. Harmony Officer Talia was still busy scorching the bugs, while also fighting off mutated bug people in the area.
"Dodogy, snap out of it", I said.
There was no response, only a form of brainless insect noises.
"Talia! Lend me a flame!", I shouted.
Talia shot a fireball at me, which I managed to catch using the power of Shape's element control. "Light and flame, scorch!", I shouted as I used the flame to impale Justice Officer Dodogy's head. With the flame's power, the bug was killed and Justice Officer Dodogy was slowly returning to normal.
"Rest safely for now", I said.
I flew away and brought her to a safe place, several kilometres away from Central Haibourg. When I returned, I noticed both Intelligence Officer Tyrkys and Harmony Officer Talia had no smaller enemies to fight against anymore.
"Let's all attack the insect girl now", I said. "Heed my word, destroy the iniquity".
The power of light, fire and ice were all combined, now, Petuniya stood no chance. She summoned more bugs, but knew that it wouldn't work anymore. She used the last remainders of blood to create a large sword.
"S-KU, forward!", I shouted.
We all dashed forward, using our powers to completely decimate Petuniya and reduce her to atoms. Intelligence Officer Tyrkys' liquid nitrogen froze her, Harmony Officer Talia's fire scorched her and my pure light completely decimated her. Upon returning, she was indeed reduced to atoms, with only a beating core remaining. I grabbed it and took a look at it. It seemed to be a bunch of insect larvae clamped together. This must've given Petuniya her powers. Intelligence Officer Tyrkys froze it, and it was sent to the Sepiia Space Station afterwards. And that concludes Sharjasania's seven-day swarm invasion. After the great battle, all remains of blood and insects were frozen and then burned. After a three-day clean up, there was no remembrance to this terrible invasion where many people lost their lives to the will of Corruption.
