VI: The Fight Against Orti

"And today, we'll honour Sharjasania's most famous idol: Kiyuu!", I said as I handed over the microphone I was holding.
Today was Kiyuu's live performance to celebrate Sharjasania's five-year anniversary.
"Thank you, thank you! Today, during Sharjasania's five-year anniversary, we, citizens of Sharjasania, have all come together to celebrate our unity, strength and growth. In honour of this beautiful moment, I have created a song just for this moment!", Kiyuu said enthusiastly.
The crowd started cheering uncontrollably. In the meantime, I walked backstage to the place where Intelligence Officer Tyrkys was patrolling the area with newly made Hexcorp automatons. These little machines were capable of the same things as their airforce counterparts.
"Is the area safe?", I asked.
"Yes", Intelligence Officer Tyrkys answered.
As I and Intelligence Officer Tyrkys were quietly discussing safety, Kiyuu started singing. As Sharjasania's most popular musician, everyone was thrilled to see this concert.

Unfortunately, the mood was quickly ruined. A large cloud with a pale green colouring started appearing everywhere over New Sojura Island, where the concert was taking place. Kiyuu, who just finished singing the first song of the concert, reached out to the public to keep them calm. "P-people of Sharjasania! Please stay calm! We are currently experiencing technical difficulties", Kiyuu said. "Please stay calm!"
"Clearing out smoke in designated area", Intelligence Officer Tyrkys' new AI assistant, Dusk said. Intelligence Officer Tyrkys developed a new AI software called Dusk, which helped control the new automaton army and connect the network.
"Shacc, I am currently sending over Vurafou troops. The female Skuarite special unit will be coming as well", Intelligence Officer Tyrkys said.
I nodded. The sky was slowly clearing as the mist was being blown away by special automatons, however, right after, a massive green beam landed right onto the stage, knocking away Kiyuu and causing a small earthquake in the district.Kiyuu was severely wounded, leading to the crowd to be disappointed and angry at the explosion.However, the angry shouting quickly turned into a bunch of fearful screaming once a woman with glowing eyes appeared out of the smoke.
"I have come, to avenge Luwig!", the woman said.
To prevent more casualties, I sprinted up stage and stopped the woman.
"Stop here, right now!", I shouted. "Who are you?"
"Hm? Orti, proud Blinded Vassal from Luwig", the woman, called Orti said. "If you didn't get what I said earlier, it means that everyone here is going to suffer torment!"
"You are given one chance to leave", I replied.
"Luwig is going to win", Orti said. "The will of Corruption will be stopped", I said.
"Nah, we'd win", Orti replied.

Orti had a mask that fully covered her entire face. As she jumped up, people started shouting and trying to run away. Unfortunately for these people, there were no ferries available, meaning they were trapped on New Sojura Island. Luckily, a few large icicle helicopters arrived just in time.
"Initiating regular defense mechanism", Dusk said.
The icicle helicopters dropped off Towa Zaitsu, Yorumi Fujita and Megumi Hagino, members of the female Skuarite special unit.
"We are ready to destroy some iniquity!", Yorumi said.
"Firing up wristblade, ready to launch offensive", Towa replied.
The icicle helicopters were repeatedly hitting Orti, but it didn't seem to hurt her. After a while even, Orti seemed impenetrable. The icicle helicopters, drones and everything else were just passing through her, like she was air.
"People of Sharjasania! I advice everyone to take shelter in the herbal remedies store right now! And als-", I said.
But before I could finish my sentence, a massive cloud of smoke was released once again. "Enough!", I said.
I activated the power of Shape, the pure light engulfing me. I grabbed my guandao and slashed away the smoke. I was relieved to see that most people had taken shelter inside of a building, however, Orti seemed to be missing.
"Did you miss us?", three familiar voices said in synchronity. These voices belonged to Luna, Petuniya and Panaimon.
"Three from the Quintet Of Iniquity... and Orti exists as well", I said. "How did you all escape from the void?"
"We are here to take revenge, for Lui, the Corruption and for Luwig!", Luna said.
"May the will of Corruption flow effortlessly through the universe", Petuniya added.
 "With the destruction of control being brought with it!", Panaimon added.
Within a split second, massive swarms of bugs spawned out of nowhere, and buildings were being destroyed by Panaimon. Luckily, Intelligence Officer Tyrkys was still there to cover. He activated his God Armour and put on his cyberglasses.
"Dusk, show me the most efficient way to protect buildings in risk of being destroyed. There are people there", he said.
"Calculating route", Dusk began. "Route calculated". Intelligence Officer Tyrkys began to surf around and using his cybershield to protect the buildings from Panaimon's electrical dash. The female Skuarite special unit was fighting off bugs. It was time for me to fight against Luna, again.

I flew towards her and hit her right in the stomach with my guandao, however, when I retracted my arm, it seemed like the guandao hadn't impaled her at all.
"Hm? Still trying to kill me with that metal hunk?", Luna giggled evilly. It didn't matter how much force I used to stab her, the guandao didn't seem to even induce a scratch on Luna.
"What is this... technique of Corruption", I mumbled.
Then, another icicle helicopter with Harmony Officer Talia joined combat.
"Flaming tornado: all the iniquity will burn to ashes!", Harmony Officer Talia said.
 She used all her energy to generate a massive tornado of fire and jumped up, which effectively knocked Petuniya down on the ground. Maybe I just wasn't doing the right thing to attack Luna. Suddenly, Intelligence Officer Tyrkys grabbed me and flew me up to metres into the sky.
"Shacc. Did you not notice anything while fighting this Luna?", Intelligence Officer Tyrkys asked. "Luna seemed to be invincible", I answered. "That's all".
"Yes, correct. So stop fighting and listen to Dusk for a second", Intelligence Officer Tyrkys said.
"As an AI software, I am unsusceptible to hypnotisation or illusions. Unfortunately for the human mind, this isn't the case. Using a quick scan function, I have concluded that the woman that entered the concert earlier came from Marrom-V, a planet in the Sojuran Galactic System. A certain group of these people possess the ability to create illusions, and as long as the creator of the illusion isn't defeated, this illusion will stay. Try your best to find mrs Orti and take her down", Dusk said.
I nodded.
"Stay safe, Tyrkys", I said.
"I don't think an illusion can kill me", Intelligence Officer Tyrkys said.
"Correction: as long as the illusion is still active, the mind can reach a numb state if any type of death is inflicted upon the hypnotised individual. Mr Tyrkys, I have concluded that you are wrong", Dusk said.
"Understood", Intelligence Officer Tyrkys said. "Shacc, stay safe too. Let's kill Orti".
I nodded and together we went back down. I needed to find a way to find Orti and take her down. But how?

"Shacc! Help me!", Talia screamed in the distance.
I quickly turned around to see Harmony Officer Talia wrapped around in the same tail-like being that Luna took with her during the Luwigian invasion: Corruption's Domain. When I looked down, I saw that Towa, Yorumi, Megumi, a lot of Vurafou soldiers and dozends of innocent citizens were trapped inside of a cage made out of Corrupted energy. Massive swarms of insects were terrorising the skies. I noticed Panaimon punching Intelligence Officer Tyrkys out of the sky, from his hoverboard. There were hundreds of damaged Hexcorp automatons and icicile helicopters in the coast surrounding the island and on the ground. "Help me! Please!", Talia screamed.
"Let her go!", I said.
"Hehe?! Why should I?", Luna said.
She commanded Corruption's Domain to nearly suffocate Talia even more. The cage on the ground was slowly shrinking too, slowly squishing people together. People were screaming in agony, children crying.
"P-please... Yilang", Talia said, tears rolling over her eyes.
"It's over, Luna. You're forgetting who I am. Enough now. I am Lord Shacc, the guardian and leader of Sharjasania. And with this mask, I will completely obliberate those who will try to harm those who matter to me!", I said sharply. I grabbed the Mask Of Nihility.
"The light at dawn is but a fraction of the void adjacent to it. I hope you enjoyed yourself, because once you're gone, no one will remember your existence", I said.
I broke the Mask Of Nihility, freeing the Void. Not only did the Void overtake me completely, leaving me in a dark hue, it also took over the entirety of New Sojura Island, leaving only people floating in the Void.
"What the- you son of a- I'm out of here", Orti said, once she got revealed.
With Luna, Panaimon, Petuniya and the swarm gone, only Orti was remaining in the Void.
"Force of the shadows! Obliberate! Never shall Corruption destroy the pride of Sharjasania!", I shouted.
I flew towards Orti, who was still in shock of what happened, and then used the void sweep to turn her into a lost soul, disintegrating her and making her part of the dark void surrounding everyone.

"Oh... it's you", Luna said.
"How are you still...", I mumbled upon noticing Luna's voice. "You even took the entire crowd with you", Luna said. "I guess that's fun. Maybe this time you will die with Corruption watching besides me".
I looked up. A large goddess-like being with a large serpent tail indeed sat behind her. In the meantime, behind me, a dark shadow arose up from the void.
"Who has awaken me from my slumber?", the shadow, who was Shurokawa The Void said. "Lui? I kindly request you to leave the void with your vassals".
"It's time to let go and stop this battle, Luna. There's no need in continuing this battle, many innocent people have lost many things due to you and your allies. Leave and never come to Sharjasania or the entire Sojuran Galactic System ever again", I said.
"Corruption will spread throughout he universe!", Lui said. "Kill them all, Luna".
"Yes queen", Luna said.
Luna, powered by Corruption was way stronger than before, using a type of chain to hit me. I blocked some attacks and hit her, but it didn't make much difference.
"Lord Shacc, I kindly request you to do me a favour and help me destroy Corruption. As a Divination, I am unable to do so, however, you can", Shurokawa said.
The massive shadow evaporated into the void adjacent to us and empowered me. Yet, it still wasn't enough. I only felt 10% of my power being stronger.
"Think about Sharjasania, Shacc! Unification!", Talia and Tyrkys said.
"Right. Citizens of Sharjasania, people of virtue, lend me your strength, and together we'll destroy the iniquitous, purify the impure and guide the weak", I said.
Suddenly, a lot of power arose inside of me. The will of Sharjasania. The will against Corruption was present.
"Together, we stand against Corruption!", I shouted.
I dashed with godspeed towards Luna and Lui, pointing my guandao towards her. With a single slash, both the Blinded Vassal and the Divination were split in half and soon consumed by the Void, destroyed. Unfortunately, that was all the power I had. Immediately after dealing that fatal blow, I fell down into the eternal void, which slowly started to collapse. Everyone started to fall.

Hours later, I woke up.
"Corruption? People of Sharjasania? Where is everyone!? Is everyone safe?", I said upon opening my eyes.
"Calm down, calm down Shacc. The battle is over now. We can all rest and enjoy life normally. Look around you", a female voice, that belonged to Talia said.
I looked around and saw people cheering. Not only for me, but for all of us. We all contributed to fighting against the iniquitous, and we became the victors of this long battle. I quickly went to find Intelligence Officer Tyrkys.
"Tyrkys? What did I miss?", I asked.
"A lot. You were asleep for roughly two hours", he answered.
"Unfortunately, Kiyuu did not survive the blast of Orti's entrance. While you were put to rest in the Cinemall, her three adopted daughters, Koi, Betta and Tetra took care of the message. Oh- under my supervision of course. Dusk also analysed some things"
"Correct. After the destruction of Lui The Corruption, all the Blinded Vassals turned into normal people, as Corruption retracted from their minds. Ketika, the last member of the Quintet Of Iniquity came to the military department of the Seat Of Crabskiff Heaven to announce that he is not a member of Corruption anymore. He then announced to be sailing off to a very distant planet with technology to use his technological knowledge to help other people out. The other members of the Quintet Of Iniquity still remained in the Void or in deceased state. However, your friend, Military Officer Victorinous was freed from Corruption as well. I can make contact with him right now", Dusk said.
"Please do so", I said. It's been long since I talked to my first best friend.
"Hi, Shacc. How are you? Yeah so the Void thing, I came out of it after the Corruption was washed out of my mind. Unfortunately, I won't be residing in Sharjasania anymore. When I was released from the Void, I found myself in a different planet, called New Panyu. The people need help from me here and I accidentally got myself in some trouble, so now I need to help them first. But I like it here. Don't worry though, Shacc, because this planet seems to be connected with Sharjasania through export. A metal similar to Skuarite is also found here, and I know that Sharjasania imports a lot of that. I might come back to Sharjasania someday", Victorinous said.
"I have an errand. I'll call you later if you have time".
"Alright Vic. See you then", I replied. The video screen collapsed.
 "There was no damage to surrounding buildings. Considering that Orti's entrance was also an illusion, there have been no problems with the infrastructure", Dusk said.
I nodded. At the end, there was still a happy ending. Corruption's spread was over. The people of Sharjasania were united and the feeling of unity was stronger than ever. Those who were Corrupted became normal, which includes my best friend Victorinous. In the end, we all worked together, destroyed the iniquitous, purified the impure and guided the weak.
