XIII: Trial Two

The second trial was about to begin.

"And for the second trial... your enemy awaits behind your back", Roxy's voice echoed through the intercom.
I turned around, but there was no one standing in the room besides Lemo.

"Can someone help me?", the voice of an innocent girl said.
A seemingly Terrian girl with pink hair showed up. 
"Does anyone here know where we are?". the girl said.
"You are currently in a simulation, little sister", I replied. "How did you come here?"
"Hey, Lord Shacc, I know this girl. She's Nagun, someone who's miss Weraya's employee", Lemo whispered to me. "It's weird why she specifically is right here, though".
"I... I, eh, just randomly woke up around here", the girl that should be named Nagun said.
"Sorry, little sister, we can't help you as we don't know where we are either", I replied. "I will inform you that this place is very dangerous".
Nagun pouted but didn't reply back.
"Don't worry bros, I'm finally back!", a familiar male voice said.
It was Shuno. He looked the exact same as when he was taken away. Could he be freed? Escaped? 
"Shuno!", Lemo shouted. "Where did you come from?!"
"Well, I found a way out of this absurd maze and then I was here again! I happen to know the way out by now, so just follow me", Shuno said.
I nodded. Nagun nodded as well.

We all followed Shuno, however, something was off about him. His calmness in such situation.
Shuno tapped a few invisible tiles on the wall of the simulated arena, which seemed to open a door without any effort. A well-lit hallway was ahead of us.
"Hey, Lord Shacc, do you think this is a bit staged?", Lemo asked.
I quietly nodded a bit to not be noticed.
"Try to remain focused", I replied. "Be cautious and alert".
We continued to follow Shuno through the hallway until we reached another room. 
As Shuno turned around, Nagun suddenly stepped forward. 
They started speaking, "Durni budut obdureni nazavzhdy".
Beams of light shot through the room as the doors to the hallway closed. 
In the end of the process Shuno and Nagun were nowhere to be found and only two girls that were completely grey from colour with dark red eyes without pupils remained.
"What... what are these creatures?", I asked.
The creatures said nothing. 
"Follow master... ZNYSHCHYTY", the two female-like creatures said menacingly.
I and Lemo prepared to fight, but the creatures managed to dodge our attacks and used elemental wind powers to push us back drastically. As we were slowly getting exhausted from the whirls thrown at us, a massive wall broke down and another person resembling Shuno came walking through the broken wall.
"You... die!", Shuno said upon noticing the two creatures.
He raised two fingers.
"Divine intervention: shattered spirits", he said while floating up.
His usually magenta eyes turned deep red as a thousand glowing purple orbs flew around the room, hitting the two creatures. They freaked out and collapsed on the ground.
"Are you the real Shuno?", Lemo asked.
"Yes", the male resembling Shuno said.

"Shuno... have you always been able to do this? What happened? Are you really the real Shuno?", I asked.
"I am Shuno, the owner of Daifuku Incorporation. Yes, that's me", Shuno said while slightly sighing.
He sat down with his legs crossing.
"So to tell you the whole story, basically Roxy and her Polarisin slaves planned to use me as a camouflage along with that other girl that they killed to bait you and then kill you as well", Shuno said. "I came to know that these girls are orphans from a planet called Polaris III, somewhere in the Tri-Polaris Galaxy. Their kind possesses the ability to be able to take someone's form. They used a computer so they could copy our behaviour. If they continued to do that with me, I would be as dead as Nagun. But I escaped and survived, and then hid through the ventilation system until I heard battle and broke free".
I was too stunned to say anything.
"And how about the impressive powers?", Lemo asked.
"Those are mere blessings from the Void", Shuno answered.
"The Void? Shurokawa?", I asked.
"Correct. Back on my home planet, I was a gifted fugitive that ended up being hired by a ghost hunting company. My special abilities enabled me to easily complete the commissions. I earned a lot of prestige, but I wasn't happy and the blessings backstabbed me. I then heard about Sharjasania, where you, Lord Shacc would have the same blessing or curse as me. I wanted to ask about it, however, I've never gotten the chance no matter how much fame and importance I had towards Sharjasania. I never used my powers again and suffered the curse without using the blessing", Shuno said. 
"I am sorry. I understand that Shurokawa's blessing is painful to bear", I began.
But before I could finish or even think of what next to say, an extremely loud intercom voice screamed through our ears.

"Noo! What did you do to my Polarisin Twins! You evil monsters! And you're only talking about your own grief", Roxy said.
She seemed to be crying, but it sounded extremely fake.
"But well... you did pass the second trial.. I guess?", Roxy said. "Have a break".
The same dry bread with porridge dangled down from the ceiling.
"THIS is our meal after fighting?! Okay Roxy, you really are a menace", Shuno said.
"You'll unfortunately never get used to this", Lemo said equally disappointed.
We continued to talk about Shurokawa's blessings.

The third and last trial awaited us.
