After a few more hours, you guys were finally done.

You sighed in relief because you swore if you had anything more to do you probably would've fell out.

"Catnap, since you're the tallest you can attach it back to the power lines and make sure it's stable enough to go back and forth." You instructed.

He nodded and got to doing what you asked.

"Wait..." Dogday whispered to you, making you look toward him. "How is he going to fit in the cart?"

You opened your mouth to speak but was cut off by another voice speaking up.

"I can shrink my size."

You looked toward the voice.

Catnap.

Of course.

"You can?" You and Dogday said in bewilderment.

He shrugged and his smile that was already there got bigger.

"Of course." You huffed out a laugh before you got back to the main task at hand.

"Does it work?" You asked and Catnap nodded.

"Pretty stable too." He responded.

"Good." You responded, walking toward the now stable train and walking up the steps, Catnap and Dogday close behind.

"Huh, so you can shrink." You heard Dogday mumble behind you but you zoned out the rest of the conversation as you all walked the rest of the way up, until finally, you all made it into the train.

"Let's see if this baby can start." You said cracking your knuckles before pressing the button on the screen that you guys had somehow managed to fix.

It sparked for a second but didn't do anything.

You all looked at each other, your hope draining a bit before a jolt wracked through the whole train and suddenly the train jump started and started moving.

"It works." You said excitedly, bouncing on your feet.

You hugged both Catnap and Dogday out of excitement who both returned the hug with smiles of their own.

"Now, we wait." Dogday huffed and you nodded.

"Yup." You said popping the 'P.'

You guys made slight small talk along the way but it was mostly a comfortable silence until maybe half way into the ride when you sat next to Catnap.

"You okay?" You asked and he looked at you, his pupils dilating.

"I'll be alright." He responded, casually laying his head in his paws.

"How's your wound doing?" Was the next thing you asked him and he looked at you from the corner of his eye.

"It's healing well..." he paused for a second. "Thanks to you."

Your face flushed.

For what reason, you didn't know. It was a simple compliment but for some unknown reason, it made your heart skip a couple of beats.

"That's good." You said after a couple moments of silence.

"Do you think we'll actually make it out of here?" Catnap suddenly asked speaking up.

You looked at him quizzically.

"Of course I do, why wouldn't I?" You said softly, your brows furrowing in confusion.

"Well, I'm just saying if the Prototype gets to us, which he probably will, then what?" He said. "I know you underestimate him, I can see it in your face but if he does try to stop us, I want you to promise me something." He finished.

You looked at him worriedly.

He sounded so serious.

He was never this serious

"What do you want me to promise you?" You asked hesitantly as if weighing your words.

"While we protect you, you have to leave us behind and get out." He paused.

"For us."

"Catnap you know I-" You started but your were quickly cut off by another voice.

"Sorry, I don't really mean to eavesdrop but he's right Y/N, if the prototype does get to us before we can get out, you have to promise to leave, to get out, don't end up like us." He said just as serious as Catnap.

"But-" you started but you were cut off once again.

"Promise us." Catnap said seriously.

"I..." you paused.

"I promise."

They seemed satisfied with your answer and then everybody went back quiet, everything silent but little did they know you weren't going to leave them, you wouldn't dare.

They also didn't notice that your fingers were crossed.

Cliché, you know but you never broke promises so you crossing your fingers was a reassuring way of reminding yourself that you weren't actually breaking anything that you never actually meant in the first place.

Suddenly the cart came to a harsh stop signaling to all of you that you had finally reached the other side of the building where you were before you crashed.

"Finally." You grinned.

You were the first to step out, then Catnap, then Dogday.

As you three walked, them following you, Catnap returned back to his normal tall size while you paid attention to all the secret markings you made just in case.

You were grateful that you did do this, if you hadn't you would've really been lost. Just the thought of that made you shudder.

"Wow Y/N, you really knew what you were doing huh?" Dogday huffed out with a laugh which made you chuckle.

"Apparently." You teased with a smile.

Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Catnap's eyes shrink at you two before turning back to their normal size but he said nothing.

"Wonder what that was about." You thought to yourself with a shrug.

"Oh fuck." You huffed which made the two look at you with raised brows.

"The platforms, it was hard enough climbing down these with just these sticky hands." You explained.

Out of the corner of your eye you saw Dogday look at Catnap but Catnaps eyes were strictly focused on you and suddenly you felt his tail wrap around you which made you gasp out of shock and lift you onto his back.

When he made sure you were secure he hopped up the platforms with ease, DogDay following behind you guys.

When you had finally got up all of the balcony type steps, Catnap was about to let you down but then froze.

Actually, you all froze when you guys heard a voice.

"So this is the famous Y/N L/N that my most loyal follower betrayed me for." The voice spoke slowly, it was heavily distorted.

Catnap tensed and DogDay froze.

When your eyes focused, you finally saw it.

The Prototype.

He was there and waiting.

"Well, what are you guys waiting for? Come a little closer." It said sinisterly.
