Vindicated

Chapter 3

Exiled

Kasalukuyan akong inaayusan ng buhok ni Lucia nang biglang pumasok si Devon at pabagsak na humiga sa aking kama. Tumigil saglit si Lucia sa pag-aayos sa aking buhok at nag bow sa kanya. He had a resemblance to  Lee Won-Jung; a character from the Kdrama called Hierarchy.

"Puputi na buhok ko dahil sa sobrang tagal mo."

I looked at him through the mirror and rolled my eyes. "Don't you know how to knock? Umagang-umaga mukha mo agad bubungad sakin, nakaka bad vibes pa naman!"

He gasped dramatically, "Wow!" Tumagilid ito ng higa at ipinatong ang kanyang ulo sa kanyang kamay. "FYI, magka-mukha tayo. So back to you!"

"Whatever, squidward."

"Sumbong kita sa nanay natin...Ay wala pala tayo nun!" Pag-bibiro niya at tumawa nang malakas, kita ko ang pag-pipigil tawa ni Lucia sa salamin. Napa-iling nalang ako sa kalokohan niya.

"All done, Lady Devika." Says Lucia. I looked at myself in the mirror. My dark pink highlights perfectly matched my dark hair and it got more defined with my Space Buns hairstyle, especially with my curtain bangs.

Tinignan ko ang sarili sa harap ng salamin.
The uniform of Lucena Academy screams luxury—old money to be exact; just from its fabric and design. It consisted of a pleated navy blue skirt that fell above the knee, a white polo shirt, and a navy blue coat adorned with the school's logo on the left side. Completing the uniform was a long necktie with stripes in blue and white colors. The same with the men's uniform but with a black slacks as its bottom.

I styled it a bit so it would look more appealing. Binuksan ko ang dalawang butones sa aking polo at ibinutones ang coat ko hanggang sa ibabang bahagi nang dibdib ko. I also added the De Luca Mafia's emblem on the right side of my coat.

"Let's go, Devon." I stood up and grabbed my
Changel sling bag. Tumayo na din ito at inakbayan ako.

"We'll have breakfast at Hexia. Behave yourself. Calista will be there." Babala nito sa'kin.

"Oh vamos, hermano! Dogs needs some lovin' too, don't yah think?" I said and smiled sweetly at him.

"Yeah, well, that dog's breaded differently. So I suggest you behave 'till you tame her." He said in a matter of fact. I smirked, I'll definitely tame that dog.

As we descended on the grand staircase my eyes caught a glimpse of Kai walking towards Hexia. He was wearing Lucena Academy's uniform for the Aviation Course.It hugged his broad shoulders and biceps perfectly. I almost forgot he's still 22 years old and an actual student. The tribal tattoo on his left arm was on full show.

"Damn. Looks like there'll be another campus crush at Lucena." Said Devon beside me.

"Kai!" Tawag ko sa atensyon niya. Lumingon naman ito sa pwesto namin at lumapit.

"Good morning, Lady Devika...Young master." Akmang yuyuko na ito nang pinigilan siya ni Devon.

"The bowing is not necessary." He initiated a  fist bump which Kai accepted.

"Sabay na tayong pumasok." I ordered.

Pagkarating namin sa Hexia ay natanaw agad namin ang buong pamilya ng De Luca. Dean was looking at us with a glimpse of jealousy in his eyes. Jealousy? Impossible.

"Looks like someone's jealous." Devon snickered at inakbayan kami parehas ni Kai.

"Buenos días, mi preciosa familia!" I greeted and made beso to all of them. Except for Calista, of course. Rinig ko ang pag tikhim ng iba.
