Chapter 5

Chase knew he had to make sure Skye actually loved him. And he had the idea.

"Oh uh Skye. Remember when you told you'll tell me about the 'fall in love' part? Chase asked 

"What do you mean by- Ohh that one. Well sure i'll tell my perspective."

"So when I first met you I just somehow fell in love, you just looked.. Handsome and Brave. Then when Marshall introduced you and himself. Then I heard him use the adjectives, brave, handsome, fast, strong and well many more. So well yeah I just fell in even more love. And then my heart was absolutely broken when you starting dating Sylvia." Skye finished her story.

"Oh, I had no idea." 

"Well its ok. That time of sadness is gone." Skye reassured Chase as she knew he was living a regretful moment.

"So the campfire?" Skye asked

"Oh yeah. Uh lets go collect some wood. The old ones are no longer usable." Chase answered

"Ok, I'll go into the woods to get them and you get the surrounding area ready." Skye insisted as she was about to take a few steps until she heard a 'Wait' from Chase. She turned around.

"Wait Skye." Chase stopped her 

"Yeah? Is there some special equipment I need for finding wood?" Skye confusingly asked

"No, well yeah. But I am NOT going to let you go there, in the woods, in the dark." Chase said as he shook his head while pointing to the dare creepy forest.

"Its ok Chase. I will be fine." Skye reassuringly comforted the worried German Shepard.

"Nuh uh. I will go." Chase insisted.

"Ok fine. If you say so brave man." Skye winked at Chase.

"Hmm nice nick name" Chase thought.

Just after a few seconds, Chase trotted into the woods. He had his flashlight as it was already dark enough. The sun was setting so there was a decent amount of light. Just not in the woodsy forest.

"Alright there is a lot of wood here." Chase said. He then heard a small growl coming from a bush

"Who's there?!" Chase feeling scared asked

"Its me Chasey. Its me" A voice answered

"Skye? You don't sound like that!" Chase felt much more scared.

"Skye? Who's Skye?" Said the mysterious voice. ??? came out of the bush.

"G-Grace?" Shocked Chase said

"Oh yes honey. Its me." Grace answered the shocked German Shepard.

Luckily, Chase did not go too far from the campsite. So Skye could hear everything.

"It sounds like Chase met one of his old.. Friends?" Skye raised an eyebrow as she ran into the woods.

"Babe, please get back with me. I am extremely sorry for cheating on you." Grace regretfully said.

"Umm no. There is no freaking way I am getting back with you monster... And why are both of my exes lurking around exactly where I am?" Chase angrily said

"Both of your exes? So you had another girlfriend after me." Grace unamusingly said.

"Uh yeah. But after I caught her cheating. I did not want to fall in love... Ever again in that matter of fact." Chase rolled his eyes.

"Chase!" 

Chase turned his head to the right as he saw a small female pup.

"Skye!"
