Alessandro's Point of View
I couldn't move as I saw Kloe get thrown from across the room. Her wolf whimpered in pain before she was knocked out unconscious. The searing pain from seeing her get physically hurt like that had me and wolf in a shock.
I never get shaken let alone get blank. Especially in front of danger. But the sight of my mate being hurt and thrown from across the room like that had me frozen in my spot that it took me a minute to process what was happening.
I immediately shifted as rogues came through the large window, knocking the long table down and breaking it in half. I also noticed my warriors beside me that has also shifted and ready to attack as soon as I give my orders.
My eyes went from Kloe and Asmodeus. My wolf howled in anger and pain. It wanted to hurt and kill that demon who is now a few feet from the air, his large, sharp horns now in display as well as his black shiny wings supporting his weight.
He had a taunting smile, as if enjoying the little play he had set up for us wolves. The rogues were the least bit of my concern.
Before I could run to Kloe to stand in front of her and protect her, the rogues immediately come running to Kloe's position.
My guard went up and a sense of protectiveness overwhelmed me that I attacked the nearest rogue and sent him flying a few feet away from her. I growled in distaste as I tasted his rogue blood on my canines.
With now Kloe on my back, ready to protect her from any attack from the demon and the rogues, I looked at Silver, my beta, to attack the demon and he immediately knew what I wanted to happen.
My men split in two to stand between Asmodeus' position and me, the others in front of the rogues to secure my position.
The rogue wolf in front did not even hesitate to come lounging forward at my best warrior. His men followed him. I joined the attack and made sure no one got close enough to harm Kloe.
I shouldn't have left her here alone, damn it! My wolf almost tear me up inside out when he realized he shouldn't have let me leave the room with our mate in it.
I was too prideful to let my concern show and now look where it has gotten me, my mate in danger. My vision was seething red that I no longer care who I hurt in the way to ensure my mate's safety.
I was fighting three rogues at the same time when I saw at my peripheral vision that someone was nearing Kloe's knocked out body. She had already transformed back in her human form. Blood gushed out from her stomach that stained the carpet. I could hardly hear her faint breathing that it pushed me even more to the edge.
Before I could shake the three rogues out of me, the wolf took Kloe in his back and retreated to his people. They withdrew and gathered around the wolf carrying Kloe's limp body, as if protecting her from us.
"Interesting," I heard Asmodeus whisper as he watch from the air, letting us wolves tear each other apart.
A man transformed into his human form and looked at us with anger and resentment. With my wolf still not in fully agreement with me because of my poor decisions lately, I shifted back into my human form too.
"Give her back to me." My hand automatically fisted as anger and dominance shook from my body—the thought of them kidnapping my mate had me on edge that I'm sure my wolf will go on killing spree if she gets taken away.
"She's ours!" He roared his claim on my mate. I felt my eyes change in color, my patience was wearing thin. How dare him claim my mate as theirs!
"She's mine!" My wolf's voice roared over with mine to show dominance and force this pup into submission but none of them flinched, not even a hint of fear in their eyes.
"She is ours as we are hers. We're her family and her pack. You have no right to claim her. Not you, or your crown for a laugh will make us submit to you. Not unless you bear each others' mark, I suggest you move before we make you." I would've been amused if this was any other situation.
But the mate bond was fucking with my head and not a thing was funny about this. I could lose her. And that is something I will never allow.

Caden's Point of View
We knew when we came storming this place that the odds weren't in our favor. This was the Alpha King and his best and not to mention, hand picked Warriors.
The demon's presence was a surprise as well. But we would not leave our Alpha into their hands one more time.
A sense of protectiveness towards Alpha Kloe overwhelmed me. A sense of loyalty and devotion was all we shared as we stood protectively in circle to protect and guard Alpha Kloe's unconscious body.
Our best men from the pack are all here to rescue and bring her home once and for all. We will not leave without her. We will not leave her at the hands of our enemy again.
She has done so much for us, and now, it's time we do the same for her.
A moment of silence as we stood and looked at each other. If this was any other circumstance, I definitely would have backed down and submitted to the Alpha King. I would've never defy a King's direct order.
But Alpha Kloe's life is on the line. And even though it felt wrong and unfaithful to my kind to disobey King Alessandro, we did so for Alpha Kloe.
It felt like a natural and a noble calling to stand in front of Alpha Kloe and fight for her. We serve at the pleasure of our Alpha. Our own Alpha.
We measured each others' stare and I decided to walk slowly, backing away and closer to the window where we came from.
We had Alpha Kloe now and we should avoid bloodshed as much as possible. This is the King and his warriors, if we're not careful we could all get killed. Our Alpha could get killed.
"I will shift..." And I did so. I carefully looked at the King to weigh any sudden movements or attacks. King Alessandro stood with voidness in his eyes as we slowly run off back into the woods, back home, and finally with our Alpha back with us.
We heard the Alpha King's howl that was full of anger, hurt, and vengeance as we dive further into the woods. Why would the Alpha King be hurt if Alpha Kloe was taken away from him? What is she to him?
It had been weeks since we rescued Alpha Kloe from the King. Her injuries were fatal. It didn't help that the creature that did this to her was a demon.
Jeorge and Lilia, our salutary, said she was lucky to be alive. If she had been a regular sized wolf, she would've been dead. We were all around the house, waiting for her to wake up.
We were all worried and hovering.
The thought of our Alpha in the brick of death had our wolves howling in pain and agony. We all prayed for her to pull through as she slept through the night.
The house was quiet despite everyone's worry. Miguel's thoughts and questions were just as loud as mine.
The way the Alpha King stood protectively in front of Alpha Kloe's unconscious body only meant one thing. We all saw it and we all knew what it meant but all of us were afraid to say it.
What if it is true? What does that make us? Where does it leave us? Is Alpha Kloe gonna be taken away from us now? And who will lead us?
We knew Alpha Kloe isn't just some Alpha that we can easily replace. She had us, and we had her. Our souls are tied as one in this pack. The devotion and loyalty we all felt towards her cannot be replaced that easily. And I know that these wolves will refuse to acknowledge a different Alpha.
Alpha Kloe were meant to be with us, she was meant to rule us. And I know my wolf would never accept another Alpha as his Alpha. The bond we all share was unbreakable.
It's either Alpha Kloe or no one for us. That's for sure. And we will not let anyone, let alone the Alpha King, take the only one good thing—the only thing that's holding this place together—away from us.
Even if it meant war with the King. And I sure as hell hope it doesn't come to that.
