"So I see that you found a place to stay after all..." A familiar angelic voice spoke as she was sitting on a counter top in the kitchen and eating a left over pastry.
"I'm sorry. I just thought I had become an unneeded weight. You deserved better..."
"But I wanted you...the arrangement we had. Your company..."
"Please don't tell anybody we know each other. I am finally making a kind and pleasant reputation-"
"I wouldn't. Would you walk with me? I want to get to know you better since you are staying at my cousin's palace I now have more of a reason then ever to stay..."
She smirked before accepting his invitation which lead them both outside the kitchen and toward the small pound which lead to a large maze decorated inside with ceramic and pottery figures.
"So is your name truly Evelynn?" He said with an interrogative tone.
"Yes. And yours is Marth?" She shot back quickly.
"Yes my lady." He said bowing before her. "Are you alright? I mean, I was scared you had been hurt...or worse..." He confessed as he slid his fingers along the petals of each flower sticking from the maze. They entered and continued to talk.
"Nope. Unless I'm a ghost and I don't know it..."
He placed his hand on her shoulder and slid it down to her hand. His touch making her shift where she stood, internally shivering as his touch was the one she desired most of all.
"I had to make sure you weren't a ghost." He said as he stood with her.
"Well now that you are sure-"
"I want you to know that when you left, I had thought something was wrong with me or you. I thought you were taken by wolves or a bandit...it terrified me to think that such a beautiful and innocent woman was taken from too soon. It made me think about life. And I vowed to do something if I ever got the pleasure to see you again...."
He pulled her incredibly close before placing his hands on her hips. He leaned her against the wall of the maze and picked a flower and set it in her hair. Placing his other hand on her hip, he came in close to her and set his lips against hers. The kiss was romantic and passionate-everything she had always dreamed a true kiss should be and feel like. She slid her fingers to his waist and pulled him more into her. She gasped as he pulled away to get air and kissed her once more, this time the kiss deepening. He sucked upon her bottom lip before pulling away from it and she guided his lips to her neck as she leaned her head back. His fingers moved to the back of her dress before he stopped himself.
"My apologies...I got carried away...I...I'm sorry."
"I am as well." She wiped her bottom lip before smirking and blushing-the darkness of night covering her blush. "I should sleep. It has been a long day."
"As should I. Can I see you again tomorrow?"
She nodded slowly before smirking. "Wait one moment..." He said as he took another flower from the maze wall and placed it behind her ear. "I appear to have knocked the other one off in our moment..." He said with a subtle blush.
As she walked back to her chambers, she took the flower from behind her ear and played with the petals, amazed with how fragile the petal had been. And even she spent nights with others before, never had any night made her feel more satisfied.
