in the forgiving of forgetting

chapter one

I smell the aroma of the potroast as mama called me down for dinner. As I reached the bottom of the stairs the door bell rings. I raced to the window to see who it is, its my best friend Austin. He looked at me and we both smiled. I looked at mama and she nodded,
" well dont just stand there let the boy in." I Did what I was told and opened the door.
"Hey miss thing!" I waved at him. As he stepped in he looked at mama and said,
"Hi Mrs. Korlov. "
"Hi Austin how are you doing this afternoon?" He looked at me and put his hands in his pockets.
"Ive been doing good, having troubles with my skatebord though."
"Oh why dont you have David look at it, of course I would help but I dont know anything about skatebords." I laughed a little.
" okay sounds good." I looked over at Mercedes As she pulled on my sleeve.
"Mama were going to the living room." She smiled and nodded. As we walked into the living room Austin laughed.
"Whats so funny?" He looked at me from head to toe.
" I like your outfit." I looked at my body and realized I wasnt matching. I looked up at him As he laughed.
"Just sit down you dork, I have to go get my book from outside. "
"Hurry up your boring me." I looked back and stuck out my tounge. As I reached outside I looked underneath my swing. No where to be found.
"Looking for this? " I looked up and saw some boy on a bike with my book. I ran up to him and smiled.
" thank you. " I reached for it when he pulled it back.
"I think I will keep it. "
"But its mine, my grandma bought it for me. Plus it has my name on it." I looked at the crushed grass when all of a sudden he pushed me.
" your that Mercedes Korlov chick arnt you.....yeah you are." He Got close maybe to close. He grabbed my arm when I pulled it back. He gave me that mean look and just then he punched me and I fell. He laughed and kicked me in the stomach.
"HEYY!!!" I looked up and saw my dad running towards us. The boy got on his bike and rode off. I coughed up blood.
"Mercedes baby.." as he bent down to pick me up I flenched.
"Sorry." He walked me inside.
"Karen grab a wash cloth. " Austin stood up,
" what happened to you? I thought you said you were getting your book."
" I was getting my book when...."
Just then mama came in.
"What happened baby? " I took a deep breath and said,
"I was getting my book when this boy had it and started to beat me up." Austin stood up and walked to mama.
"May I ." She handed me the wash cloth and stood up.
"David I need your help in the kitchen." As they left I looked Austin and smiled.
"Thanks Austin, I um wanted to let you know I finished your movies. "
"(Ha, ha, ha) thats good. Hey when you watched 16 candels did you like the ending. " I smiled.
"Yeah (he, he,he) when he stood outside the church and waited for her. " we both stood there laughing.
"Hey can you ask mama if she could bring me ibprohen. "
"Yeah hang on." He stood up and walked away. I thought of his smile and his laughter.
"Here baby."
(Two and a half hours later)
"Hey munch kins dinner time."
I stood up and looked at Mercedes and said,
" Im sorry I must ask my mother first." Mama peaked her head from the dinning room.
"I already asked your mother Austin and she said you are more then welcome to eat with us."
"Okay that would be nice if its okay with Mercedes? " I looked at her and she smiled.
" of course Austin your my best friend. " As we walked into the dinning room I looked around and smiled.
"Hey Austin!!" I pushed his glasses towards his face.
"You dork. " I grabbed her sides and gave them a tickle.
"(He,he, he,) Austin stoppp!!!" We ran into the dinning room set.
" HEYY, HEYY, HEYY, guys settle down. " I elbowed her and she did it back.
( 30 minutes later)
"That was really good Mrs. Korlov. "
"Thank you." I looked at the clock and it read (7:45pm).
"Im sorry this has been the best day, but unfortuneatly I have to go this is usually the time where my mom makes me take a shower." I stood up and smiled.
"I'll walk you out." We both walked out of the dinning room and into the kitchen.
"Well this is the part where we say goodbye. "
"Remeber we never say good bye we only say see yeah later with our hand shake. " she smiled.
" right."
" best friends forever standing side by side, criss cross, apple sauce in a tree, one says super time the other one says goodbye. But dont forget its never a goodbye when its only see yeah later until sun rise. " as we finished our handshake we laughed, then we hugged and he kissed me on the cheek. Just then he left. I turned Around and saw mama starring at me.
"Were just friends. " I yelled as I walked into the dinning room to grab my plate.
"You think were going to date arnt you?"
"Well you guys are on highschool now so why not." I laughed and walked my plate into the kitchen.
"Im going to go take a shower. "
"(He, He,he,) okay honey. " I ran into my room and I just smiled. Almost everything in my room was made by Austin. I walked to my dresser As I felt of wood pressed against my fingers. I took my pj's out as I looked at the white puffy clouds swirling in my mind giving me the signal to take a shower. I walked into my bathroom and turned on the faucet, then I clicked on the circle thing and there went the shower. I took a step back and beginned to undress. I looked at shower curtain as I listened to the fragile mist of moisture water drops hitting the bottom of the bathtub. My skin has goosebumps from head to toe. I laid my small fingers against my skin and it felt rough. I jumped in and felt the warmth of the water pressed against my back. The steam of the shower made me believe that I was covered in sweat. It feels like im loosing weight. The power of feeling something really bothers me because I cant figure out why im loosing my mind. Everyday is a struggle, because Im bullied everyday by someone who scares me because they dont care about me or themselfs. Its a wonder why someone like me even gets a chance to be loved by so many, its a wonder why I even get a bestfriend like Austin. At first I couldnt picture myself accepting people into my life. But God did that for me, he sent me Austin Wayne my bestfriend.
(Hour and a half later)
(Knock, Knock, Knock)
"Come in." I looked at the door and it was Austin.
"Austin!!!" I sat up.
"Hey I forgot to give this to you earlier. " As he pulled it out I got off my bed.
" a wooden flower. Thats amazing." I smiled and hugged him.
"Your welcome. Hey look at that it even has our names on it(ha,ha,ha)" I hugged him even tighter. I could feel his arms Around me. I pulled my head back and looked at him. I looked at her blue eyes as I combed my fingers through her hair. I smiled and kissed her on the cheek.
"I will see yeah tomorrow at school."
"Okay. " I pulled back and winked at her before I reached the door. I looked at her and smiled, just then she blew me a kiss and smiled.
"See Yeah."
"See Yeah." Just then he left. I sat there on my bed with nothing to do. I tried picking up a book but it was no use, I even tried to laugh. But there was nothing to laugh about. I grew of bordem. I picked up the wooden flower and out of nowhere I started to cry. Why am I crying?
