chapter 3

School was a waste of time, I cant even concentrate on school work because of yesterday day. I kissed my best friend.
(Bell rings)
I stood up to collect my books when the same guys from yesterday showd up.
" How's your friend eh?"
" she was in the hospital, are you happy?" He had a smile on his face when he frowned. I walked out of class to my locker when the kid came after me.
"Hey look im sorry okay , it was just for show I didnt mean for her to get seriously hurt." I slammed my locker shut and threw myself at him. We both ended up on the ground punching each other. Next thing you know we are being pulled away from each other.
"principle office now." I wiped my mouth and Walked away. I kicked a locker.
"Watch it Mr. Wayne" I turned around and gave the guy a look. We reached the principles office and as I sat down the principle called us in.
"Sit. Whats going on?" I looked up when the guy said,
"He started this whole thing." I shook my head as I felt my eyes tearing up.
" He hurt my bestfriend. "
"What was that Mr. Wayne?"
"I said He hurt my bestfriend."
" is he okay?" I looked up at her.
"She, my bestfriend is a she." She pulled back in surprise.
"How did he hurt her?"
" yesterday me and Mercedes were walking to school when him and his gang of friends came after her and attacked her. She had to go to the emergency room ma'am." She put her hand over her mouth.
"Is this true David Appchio?" He looked down at the ground.
"Yes ma'am."
"Well I expected more out of you two. Im afraid I will have to call both your mothers." At the same time we both said.
"Yes ma'am." I looked down, and as I did a tear fell. I covered my eyes with my hands and I lost it.
" here Austin. " I looked up and noticed that Mrs. Martin was crouched down next to me holding a tissue. I took it and tried wiping my eyes when I knew I couldnt. I just kept crying. I was feeling pain.
" Mr. Jeffs can you take David out there for a moment please. "
"Yes ma'am, Come David. " They both stood up and walked out.
(Beep)
" peggy cancle my lunch meeting please, I have a important boy in here who needs me."
(Beep)
(Yes Mrs. Martin)
"Why dont you go get your lunch Austin and we could talk okay. " I nodded and stood up.
"When you go out there can you tell Mr. Jeffs to come in with David please. "
"Yes ma'am." I opened the door and saw Mr. Jeffs looking at David.
" Mrs. Martin wants you to bring David in."
"Thanks Austin. " I nodded and Walked out of the office.
"your in big trouble David . From here on out you are suspended from school until the end of the month , is that clear?"
"Yes ma'am."
"You are not to have any contact with Mr. Wayne at all, is that clear?"
"Yes ma'am."
" good I have arranged for your mother to come and get you. You may wait out there with Mr. Jeffs until your mother comes. "
"Yes ma'am."
"Go!!"
As I walked from the cafiteria I was walking towards the office when all of a sudden my glasses broke. I set my tray on the floor and I tried looking for them when a lady said,
"Here let me. " She must of found my glasses as She helped me up.
"Whats your name?"
"Austin ma'am. "
" well where are headed to Austin?"
"The office."
"Ah exactly where Im headed too. I have to pick up my son I heard he was beating up a boy..."
"Im that boy ma'am. "
"Oh, are you alright?" I shrugged my shoulders.
"I dont know."
"Well I hope you are my son can be a hand full. Well here you are. Are you Eatting with Mrs. Martin?" I nodded.
" okay. "
"Mom?"
"Quiet David!!" I felt the edge of the wooden floor of the main office as I reached the soft carpet of Mrs. Martins office.
" oh my Austin are you alright?" The lady helped me sit down in a chair. I turned my head at her direction.
"Thank you ma'am."
"Your welcome, it was nice meeting you Austin. "
"You too Mrs. Appchio!" I felt her presence of smiling as she closed the door.
"What happened to your glasses?"
"I was on my way back to your office when all of a sudden my glasses just broke and fell to the ground. Then I hear Mrs. Appchio next to me. It was nice of her to help me like that, I didnt need anyone's help but im glad she did." I could feel she was smiling.
"Thats good. Would you mind telling me what happened yesterday ?" I nodded as I tried looking forward.
"Im going to warn you im probably going to cry again. Yesterday seeing Mercedes lying on the ground hurt made my body hurt with posion. I rushed over to her and had her lay her head on my lap. She was crying with blood on her skin. I tried calling my mom when she held my wrist tightly, it was like she was praying I didnt but some how she knew she needed help so she let me. It was like she was weak. " I knew the tears were coming.
"I didnt cry yesterday because I was trying to be strong for Mercedes, and seeing that guy today didnt help at all. Just looking at him brought everything back including the kiss. "
"The kiss?" I nodded.
" when Mercedes packed her bags she was crying so I kissed her on the lips." I instantly wiped my eyes.
"Im sorry."
"I'll give yeah a moment. " I continued to cry a little bit more. I couldnt stop. I knew I couldnt get up and run so I sat there and let Mrs. Martins hear me. I took a deep breath and wiped my eyes.
"I should probably eat huh?"
" yeah You probably should(He,he,he). If you dont mind Im going to call your mother to come get you."
"Am I in trouble or something?"
"No its just you cant continue School without seeing. "
"Ah okay." I could feel her dialing my moms number.
" Hi Mrs. Wayne, I have your son in my office... no he didnt do anything its just he has broken his glasses and has been crying..." It felt horrible telling my mother. The Pure pressure of not wanting to faint in this chair is a slight percentage of air, due to the prospect of liability of humanoid figures in reality. God why does it feel like total embarassment, I mean I wonder what my mother is saying let alone Mercedes. God Im so stupid for doing this.
"Austin your mother will be here shortly would you like me to have someone go get your things for you?"
"Ah no thanks ma'am I cant really see to do my homework right at the moment. But thanks for asking though."
"Your welcome."
( 20 minutes later)
"Austin honey!" I instantly looked up and laid my arm out to feel my mother pressing her hand on mine. I smiled and stood up.
"Are we going home now?"
" Yes buddy(he,he,he). Thanks again for watching out for my son!"
"Your welcome Mrs. Wayne! " I felt a rush of tricks in my head, it felt like boiling fluid of red dye caused me to grab my mothers arm. We both walked out of the school and to her car.
"Im going to walk you inside when we get home real quick so then i can go get you new glasses. " I nodded As my fingers made a beat on my legs to the song. Maroon 5 , Animals!!
( 30 minutes later) As I herd the latch of the door i stepped in the creaking floor and smiled. My mom sat me down on the couch and ran out the door. I sat there in peace and quiet.
" blind eh bird brain?" I turned my head to hear the voice Mercedes stroking up beside me.

as I sat down next to him I smiled and tickled his stomach . He bent forward and tried to hold it in, but he couldnt. He was laughing in my lap.
"It was quiet without my bestfriend here. "I started stroking his hair when I could feel his eyes looking at me. Just then he moved his fingers up to my lips when he pulled my chin down to him and laid my lips on his. He kissed me and I kissed him back feeling the erdge for my fingers to dive in his hair.
