The three of them froze in their place and reluctantly removed their fists/palms from each other's faces.
Kirishima folded his arms and sighed, "I dunno about all that art stuff man. I didn't get any of it."
I looked to the other two to see if they would answer my question as well. Denki awkwardly averted my gaze while Bakugou appeared to simmer.
Bakugou finally half-yelled, "Oh just pick one will ya? You probably decided on one the moment you saw the options!"
My eyes slightly widened, "That's...." He spoke as if he had just revealed an observation he had made of me. But it was our first time interacting. I filed this away though for the time being.
I cleared my throat, "That's true. I was hoping we'd do philosophy since that's one of my stronger areas."
He replied in an exasperated manner, "Philosophy it is then!"
Kirishima scratched his head, "I dunno how much I can help in this subject."
Denki simply stifled a laugh.
I sighed, "I can do half of the research part. One person can take the other half. One person can edit and compile the information. And one person can make the PowerPoint."
Denki and Kirishima eyed me in both awe and begrudging respect. Bakugou's gaze remained his usual scowl.
Denki sheepishly spoke, "You really thought this through, huh?"
"Not really. I came up with that just now," I answered.
Kirishima began to exclaim, "But how-"
Bakugou interrupted firmly, "I'll take the other half of the research part. I don't trust these morons."
They both looked at him a little offended, but more so shocked that he was offering to do so. He offered them a ferocious glare in return, so they didn't question him even though they wanted to.
Denki finally spoke up, "I guess I can edit and compile the information."
Kirishima's (almost foolish) cheerful demeanor returned, "Alright, I'm gonna make a bomb PowerPoint!"
I nodded, "Alright that's settled. As for the philosophical work, the best option for this group is Self Reliance by Ralph Waldo Emerson. Since it's a bit more on the tame side."
They all nodded along as I explained more. Then eventually everyone moved back to their seats and our school day continued as usual.
