Nadia
Cassandra planned a movie day with me, the guy she's been talking to, and his best friend. Calling it a double date. To be fair, I felt a little uneasy about meeting them. Especially because I was thrown into a "double date" without much of my consent. But Cassandra easiky persuaded me and promised that it would be a good time. The more she was reassured, the happier I was beginning to feel as the night drew closer.
I decided to dress casually since we were just going to the movies. Yet I still wanted to be cute and give off the smell that I was rich. I put on a simple pink Ralph Lauren dress, packed my favorite pink Dior bag, and slipped on some white low top converse. I then added some accessories, Swarovski diamond earrings, a couple of Van Cleef bracelets on my left wrist, and finally, the rose quarter necklace that Giovanni gave me.
Once I finished, I gave myself a quick once over before I came down from my bedroom. I stopped at the bottom of the steps which then caught Cassandra's attention. She looked up from playing with Jewel and whistled.
"Damn girl~! Even the simplest outfit you throw together still makes you look like a queen."I chuckle, "says you. You look like a goddess."
Cassandra wore a red bodycon dress that stopped above her thigh. She, too, wore low top white converse. And she bedazzled herself in gold jewelry. Small gold hoops, two gold necklaces, and an array of gold bracelets adorning her wrists.
Cassandra cooed happily at my compliment. "Hey~, we gotta keep the heads turn'n. Yes?"
"Hell yeah!"
A ping! is heard and both women turned to the noise. It was Cassandra's phone. She picks it up from the coffee table and smiles softly. "They're outside now." Cassandra approached me and laced our arms together. We then say our goodbyes to Jewel, and made our way out of the door.

"I think you're feel'n this guy, Cass~.""Hush, bitch. We're just friends."
I hum in suspicion. "Sure~, yet you're all dolled up for a movie night out."
"You're dressed up too", Cassandra said pointedly.
"Ugh! You wound me!" I throw my arm over my face as a way to exaggerate the "hurt" I was feeling. My body slides down the wall of the elevator slightly.
I heard Casandra let out a laugh. Once the elevator dinged, informing us that we made it to the first floor, we stepped out and made our way out of the glass doors. I spotted a BMW outside, and from the looks of it, Cassandra noticed it too and recognized it. She pulls me along and the closer we got, a man with short hair gets out of the driver side and opens the passenger door and backdoor.
Before we stepped into the car, Cassandra introduced us to one another. "Nady, this is Isaiah. Isaiah, this is my bestie, Nadia!"
We shake hands. I play a charming smile on my face as he presents me with a dashing smile. "It's nice to meet you", Isaiah says.
I smile. "Likewise."
Isaiah points to the second person in the backseat. "That asshole in there is my best friend, Giovanni. We're pretty much brothers."
I felt my heart leap in my throat. As I glance inside, I recognizes those dark brown eyes and thick brows. The type of eyes that could suck you in like a black hole. However, instead of his disguise, he was in normal, civilian clothes. His slightly short curly hair was freed from the balaclava. The dark long sleeved compression shirt stretched around his bulky, yet soft muscles. He wore baggy black sweatpants nearly cried as it, too, slightly stretched over his thighs. But his appearance made him all the more remarkable.
But it was him. He was right there.
I had no fucking idea that Cassandra's new friend was best friends with the man she's been writing to.
And also allowed to finger fuck her.
"Nice to meet you both", Giovanni says. His deep voice even made me a little weak like it does when he meets me at the club.
Casandra waved to Giovanni. Fucking clueless that this guy was my pen pal...well, stalker, too . She then gets in the passenger seat while I try to make myself comfortable in the back with Giovanni.
Key word. Try.
The ride was full of life because of Cassandra and Isaiah. But it was also tense, thick enough for a knife to cut through. That's how I felt at least. Giovanni didn't say a word to me. And neither did I. However, I could feel this fucking man staring at me. Why isn't he saying anything?
In the midst of my thoughts, I see Giovanni shuffle in his seat. I cut my eyes over to him, his own eyes meeting me. "What's on your mind", he asked. Mischief laced in his tone.
"On my mind?"
What's on my mind is how our interaction is sticking out like a sore fucking thumb.
But I keep my lips from saying it. Instead, I play the game he's in. Fake it til you make it.
"Just excited about the movie."
"Yeah?"
"Yes."
Giovanni doesn't speak immediately. He's just looking at me. I'm sure he's studying my demeanor. He has an observant eye. Then he looks to our two friends in the front. And then back to me. I could read it in his eyes. Does she know about me? That's what he was thinking.
I shake my head no and repeat his action. To which he kicked my same expression. His best friend didn't know much about me either. The two of us started talking again. Talking about anything random that came to mind. It was oddly satisfying to know him a little better. He didn't say much, but he still shared some information that he didn't present in a letter long ago.
Before long, we were at the theater. Isaiah was parking his car in the parking lot and stood the engine. "You guys ready", he asked cheerfully.
"I know I am", Cassandra says. "I feel like we've been driving for hours."
"It was only a twenty minute drive", I butt in. My smart ass comment did not go unnoticed by Cassandra. She scolds me a little, earning a laugh out of Isaiah and Giovanni. I set my sights on Giovanni. Yet once he looked at me, a felt warmth creep up my face.
How did I let him have a hold of me so easily?
