season one episode three
"Texas Proud"Maxine walked around the kitchen for the 30th time. It was two o'clock in the morning, and T.K still wasn't home. He had been gone for over five hours, she was beginning to get even more worried by the second.
30 more minutes had passed and she still hadn't heard anything from T.K. she was pissed off to say the least, he shouldn't be out this late. Maxine sighed and picked up her phone, scrolling through her contacts to find her brother, just as she was about to press his number.
The door opened and slowly closed, a bruised T.K walked in the house, trying to be discreet, only for him to see his sister sitting on the dining room table with her arms crossed against her chest. "hey sis!" he nervously mumbled .
"don't you 'hey sis' me." Maxine threw her phone on the table, while she stood up, and got closer towards T.K. "where were you?, and why are you all bruised up?" she placed her hand on the side of his face, to take a look at his scars.
T.K glanced at his feet, as he began to grow annoyed a little. "I got into a fight with a couple of dudes." he pushed Maxine's hand away from his face. "I got arrested, then i came here, that's it."
Maxine scoffed as she felt him push her away. "I'm just worried about you, okay?" she crossed her arms, her face looked disappointed, meanwhile she felt miserable. T.K wouldn't talk to her about his problems, she's terrified that she's going to loose him again.
"Maybe you shouldn't worry about me then!" T.K scolded his little sister, he instantly regretted it as he saw the hurt expression that came on her face. "Max-" he started.
"No-" she mumbled against her lips, she bit her bottom lip, bawling her fist into a ball. She looked up T.K. with small tears in her eyes, she un-balled her fist. "You're right, maybe I shouldn't worry about you! But- I do! I'm worried to death that you could be out on the streets, alone, and you've overdosed, or dead; just because no one knew where you were or how to find you."
She pointed her finger into his chest, as tears fell down her face. "and the first thing you do when you see me is yell at me?, I don't even get a single thank you." Maxine scoffed as she wiped the tears that were falling from her brown eyes. "I'm going to bed, I have a shift in three hours." she mumbled, pushing past her brother, and going up the stairs towards her room.

"I'm Teri. She's right through there." the blonde woman, who seemed like the host, announced as she approached Michelle and the rest of the paramedics.
