As the meeting drew to a close, Jungkook's smile grew wider, his eyes glinting with triumph. "So, Jimin, it's settled then. We'll get married in three months, and you'll become the perfect trophy wife."
Jimin's eyes flashed with anger, but he remained silent, his jaw clenched.
Jungkook continued, his voice dripping with condescension. "And, of course, you'll have to leave your mundane job and focus on being a good wife and hostess. I can't have my wife working like a commoner, can I?"
Jimin's eyes narrowed, his voice low and even. "I'll never give up my job, Jungkook. It's my passion, and I won't let you take it away from me."
Jungkook's smile faltered, his eyes darkening. "Fine, have it your way. But if you don't comply, I'll make sure the marriage is a living hell for you."
Jimin stood up, his eyes blazing with defiance. "I'd rather die than submit to your demands, Jungkook. And if this marriage is a prison, I'll make sure to rattle the bars."
With that, Jimin stormed out of the conference room, leaving Jungkook's smug smile to falter for the first time.
