Moonrise (A warrior fanfiction)

Chapter 2

For info Graypaw in my story had been apprenticed a day before Silverpaw's. Also I have decided to let anyone make their own warrior to add to the clan or any other. You should comment the: Name and personality, fur colour, has to be warrior or queen because there is already a leader, deputy and medicine cat/apprentice.

It was around sunset and Silverpaw was resting in her nest when Redtail poked his head inside the apprentice den. Graypaw, Sandpaw  and Dustpaw immediately sat up grooming themselves. Redtail gave an amused glance at them and said, "Bluestar needs to see you Silverpaw and Graypaw"

Graypaw puffed out his chest while Dustpaw and Sandpaw exchanged disappointed looks. Silverpaw tipped her head. Bluestar wants to see her? Like after all her littermates are out either exploring the territory or learning battle and hunting techniques and Silverpaw was doing nothing since her mentor was needed for something. Silverpaw was jolted out of her thoughts. Graypaw was nudging her towards the entrance and began sprinting towards Bluestar's den. Silverpaw nervously glances back at the den where Sandpaw encouraged her on somehow with her eyes. 

Silverpaw sprinted after Graypaw and halted to a stop. She bumped into him while skidding to a stop and took a step back. A blue-gray she-cat emerged from the entrance and looked down at the two apprentices with twinkling eyes. "Follow me"

Bluestar brushed past them and headed towards the camp entrance. Graypaw and SIlverpaw padded after her and soon was out in the forest. Bluestar began sprinting at high speed. Silverpaw gave an uneasy glance at Graypaw. He shrugged back at her and quickly caught up to Bluestar. Silverpaw gaped at his speed.  How can they run that fast? She thought. She studied the way they were pushing against the ground. Maybe I can do that too. She stumbled at first, but then quickly got used to it. Soon they reached a clearing. "I want you" Bluestar announced, "To search for any intruders in our territory"

Graypaw nodded while Silverpaw felt confused. What should Silverpaw  do when she comes into contact with one? "Come on" 

Silverpaw noticed that Graypaw was already at the other edge of the clearing. "Come on" He repeated, "We can not stay here all day!"

"Sorry..." Silverpaw mumbled, still unsure of herself. 

Graypaw suddenly looked guilty. "No I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gotten ahead of myself"

Silverpaw was startled at how fast Graypaw changed his mind about how fast they should go. Silverpaw decided to ignore that fact and enjoy the forest. With the wind ruffling her fur she padded forward with Graypaw at her side. The daylight was getting dimmer now as night took over the sky. Graypaw suddenly stopped.

Silverpaw looked curiously side ways at him then caught a strange scent of a nearby cat. Peering behind the bushes she saw a ginger cat with green eyes. By the looks of it he was a tom. Silverpaw looked unsurely at Graypaw who shrugged back at her and flicked his tail across her mouth to signal not to speak. 

Creeping forward and shrinking back from the bushes brushing her fur-which was easy since she was smaller then Graypaw. Glancing back at Graypaw she brushed past the bushes and crept closer to the weird scented cat. She glanced at his neck. A collar lay glistening against his ginger fur- he was a kittypet! She gaped at the size of him. He was about the same size as Graypaw but being the tiniest kit of the litter, Graypaw was about a head above her. 

Graypaw tensed behind her and lashed his tail. Switching her eyes between him and the strange cat she noticed that the ginger tom was stalking a mouse. That's our prey! 

Managing to bite down a growl she purposely brushed her tail loudly across a leaf of a branch. The mouse scuttled away and the cat looked confused and looked at his surroundings. Graypaw crept forward sending a bunch of dry leaves crunching. What an idiot! Silverpaw thought.
