Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuhu!

I've read multiple romance books, and webtoons and watched many of those cute, wholesome romance dramas too. None of them was halal, in the sense, happening outside of marriage, or as dating. Which made me sad. [But I love reading romance nonetheless. I was just hoping to read something Halal].

I've also looked around for some Islamic romance books, but I didn't find any that were entirely halal, or as halal as I expect them to be. (If you know any good Islamic stories here please let me know 🥹)

That's when I realized that I could write the kind of book I was looking for. So here I am with To Our Doom.

So, things to note before you dive in:

• There is a glossary with the Arabic and religious terms below the author's note that you can refer to if you're unfamiliar with any term.

• Yes, this is a contemporary teen fiction romcom with an Islamic theme.

• I include Quranic verses, prophetic sayings, and explanations of those snippets where needed.

• I use a few Arabic words, mostly Abu (father), Umm (mother), Akhi (my brother) and Ukhti (my sister).

an example is Abu Ishaaq which means 'father of Ishaaq' and I use these titles to refer to my characters' parents out of respect hehe

• My characters live in a fictional town in the Middle East.

This story is close to my heart because I have been planning and preparing the story, characters, and plot outline for over a year, and I just started putting it into words and chapters, Alhamdulillah.

While planning the plot outline I only considered the events and I didn't realize how sad it would be towards the end 💀.

But don't worry, I will end this story on a happy note. I always write happy endings because sad endings will leave me depressed and I love my character children too much!

But everything is for character development, and the Dunya is filled with hardships and successes, so bear with me 🥹💞

I'm excited to share this story with you and develop it further In Sha Allah. What I'll be sharing here is my first draft, so it may be imperfect, and I'm open to corrections and constructive criticism 🥹💞🫧

And since this is going to be my first serialized book on Wattpad, I'd like to take it slow and produce quality chapters, which is why I will be updating chapters weekly, on Fridays, In Sha Allah!

You can expect Chapter 1 of To Our Doom coming out on the 12th of July, 2024, In Sha Allah!

I'm happy to have you here, and I hope you enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoy writing it, and I hope you love my character children as much as I love them xD! In Sha Allah 💞🥹
