Later that evening Hardison worked on his computer, extracting data from the hard drive Parker had cloned. "Yo, Nate. I got all his financials off his hard drive and all his passwords" Hardison said.

"Yeah, nice" The mastermind clicked his tongue, turning toward Eliot who's playing pool.

"Your shot" The hitter said, as he offered him a beer.

"No thanks" The mastermind refused, picking up the pool cue. "Five corner"

"You look better than when we started," Eliot commented.

"Yeah"

"Yeah. And that bothers you, huh?" Eliot smirked.

"I uh, well this isn't supposed to feel–"

"Good? It's not that hard to figure out. Dubenich screwed you. He cheated by stealing from that other company and your good guy brain sees him as the bad guy. Your conscience is clear"

"You want to take your shot?" Nate huffed.

"Listen, I'm sorry about your kid"

"You don't know anything about that," Nate said.

"Everybody knows. A guy like you goes off the street a lot of people notice. And it was a bad story, too. How did they justify that, huh? The insurance company just not paying for his treatment?"

"They claimed it was experimental"

"You should have kept one of those Monets you found," Eliot snickered "You fence that—"

"Eliot, you and I are not friends" The mastermind snapped.

"Right. Right. Because you have so many of them" Eliot grinned and pointed towards an approaching Sophie, "Incoming"

The door closed behind me as I entered with bags full of takeout. I placed them on the island, unpacking each box and transferring the food onto plates.

"Food's here!" Parker exclaimed excitedly. Eliot and Hardison quickly crowded around the dining table.

I looked up to see Nate and Sophie standing close to each other, looking very cozy. Sophie whispered something in his ear with a smile before leaving, heading towards the team who had already started digging into their dinner.

"Ooh ooh!" Hardison hooted as he rolled his chair across the room.

The next day rolled around, and Dubenich pulled up in front of the building, got out of the car and headed inside. Nate and Hardison watched from a table at a café across the street.

"Sophie, he's on-site" I informed Sophie as I watched Dubenich enter the lobby from my spot in the lounge.

"What? No, I'm not ready," She said.

Dubenich looked around the spacious lobby, confused.

"If you don't meet him right now in the lobby he's going to go to the building directory and look for the office number. Guys we are not in the building directory" Nate said.

"And why aren't we in the directory?" Eliot asked.

"I don't know, maybe because they're fake offices," Hardison answered sarcastically.

"There's no elevator" Sophie said, frantically pushing the elevator buttons.

Nate pulled out his collapsible baton and smashed the windows of cars parked along the sidewalk.
