It all happened so suddenly. I was joyfully swinging with the light breeze, when suddenly, an uncle of mine approached me speedily, grabbed me and took off. I cried and screamed, but to no avail. Uncle had already taken me away to a faraway place.

The journey was one of a kind, a seemed to never end. As we flew up in the air, what I saw was breathtaking, as well as terrifying. I had never been away from home before. We passed lakes, trees, rivers and forests.

And one day, out of the blue, we abruptly stopped on the other end of a huge river, with what seemed like endless acres of barren land. We stopped there, and all of a sudden uncle was nowhere to be found.

I suddenly felt lost. shattered. The only thing I wanted to do was to bury myself alive, but I was too fragile to do anything. I was so engrossed in my own worries and thoughts that I barely heard the stomping of huge foot above me, and the next thing I could remember was black.

It sounds horrific, but that's what made my life.

I woke up from a death like slumber to find myself entangled in the soil. The harder I tried to get out, the more the uncomfortable it felt. Giving up, I took a look around me, only to find that several tiny legs had sprouted underneath me, and my hairs had gone wild.

Only then did it hit me.

I was the very first plant who had sprouted up across this barren land.
