Curtains tore at every seam, and the walls cracked. Splinters of wood scattered the bedroom floor as then yet another chair flung out from a closet, and into a dented wall. As it hit, the piece of furniture collapsed into smaller bits of wood.

Li Hua sat on the bed, silent through the ruckus. She only sat up straight when Pierre stormed out of the closet.

"Spectralseeker!" Pierre screamed, rushing out past the door frame . He stopped by a bed frame as Spectralseeker rose from a portal in the floor. He glared at the other for a few seconds before turning his head away and tilting it forward. "Why...?"

Spectralseeker, who was now dressed in a bunch of white tulle and silk to create a garment similar to Li Hua's, gave a wide smile. They stayed silent regardless even as Pierre groaned and left the servant's side.

"My dear?" Pierre called, walking over and sitting beside Li Hua. He lifted a hand, cupping her cheek as a moment of gentle gestures.

Li Hua smiled back, leaning into the comfort of her husband's touch. "Hello, love," She greeted, holding the wrist that held her. "It was only a little dress up game with Spectralseeker. Nothing else," She called after, standing from her bed, rushing after her husband and taking his shoulders.

Pierre glared at Spectralseeker, taking in a deep breath and huffing it out. He fixed the vest around his waist, turning on his heel to face his wife before wrapping his arms tightly around her. "Do as you wish for a bit longer. I can figure something out soon," He wished before taking his leave from the bedroom. The footsteps of his boots clicked loudly against the floor of the long, dark hallway that seemed to dip into a void of eternity. He lifted his hand, allowing his walking cane to appear from thin air. With a tight grip, he slammed the end of the cane against the floor, listening to the resounding clang, another portal grew from the point. He sunk into the ground, stepping out into a grassy grove.

Wind billowed sweetly on a winter day. The growing season into its late days had a taste of late February. The hopes of a new Spring grew in little buds of white and yellow flowers on the trees.

Rina nuzzled into her mother's waist as her arm helped keep her close. She stared down at the grave which was still fresh enough not to have been covered by grass yet. The flowers she had just recently placed had its petals almost try and dance in the air if it wasn't already covered by the bouquet paper.

"Any luck on finding a new math teacher?" Asami inquired, gently rubbing her daughter's shoulder.

"Tomorrow," Rina replied, pulling away from the embrace her mother gave her. "But I imagine no one would like them very much," She frowned, sinking her hands back into the pockets of her coat.

"Chee," Mochi called, popping up on Angel's shoulder before plopping her body down on it and looking as limp as ever.

Asami walked over, picking up Mochi from her lover's shoulder. She cradled the cat in her arms, nuzzling into her fur for comfort. "It's going to rain soon, dear. Let's get going," She requested in a patient tone while she lifted her head to gaze at her daughter's exhausted face.

Angel made their way out past the grassy hill, hands in their pockets while the wind continued to run by the scene. "What would you three like for lunch?" They asked, eventually stopping by the car they brought along. After opening the passenger door for Asami, they helped Rina into the car. They brought themselves into the driver's side, starting up the car, purusing through the many hills and crowded cars of the cemetery.

At home, Mochi was busy playing with the plush cheese slice Asami got her back for Christmas. All the strife and trauma that followed on Christmas Day, the kitten appeared to be all too excited and happy to be thinking about it.
