As the argument escalated, Dr. Sharma intervened, her firm but gentle tone calming the situation. "Karan, I understand your concern, but please, let us do our job. We're doing everything we can for Preeta."

Karan's anger deflated, replaced by tears of frustration and fear. Rohit embraced him, holding him tight as he sobbed. "It's okay, Karan. We're here for you."

The hours ticked by, each one an eternity as they waited for news. Finally, Dr. Sharma emerged, a hint of a smile on her face. "Preeta's stable. We've managed to control the seizures, and she's responding to treatment."

Karan's relief was palpable as he collapsed into Rohit's arms, weeping with gratitude. "Thank you, thank you," he whispered, his voice shaking.

As Preeta began her long recovery, Karan and Rohit stood vigil, their bond stronger than ever. They supported each other through the dark moments, their friendship a beacon of hope.

One day, as Preeta sat up in bed, her eyes sparkling with determination, Karan knew she'd be okay. And as they all shared a smile, he realized that love and friendship could overcome even the darkest of times.

As the days passed, Preeta's condition improved, and Karan's anxiety slowly gave way to relief. Rohit remained a constant presence, supporting his friend through the darkest moments.

"Hey, Karan, how're you holding up?" Rohit asked one day, as they sat in the hospital cafeteria.

"I'm managing," Karan replied, his eyes red from lack of sleep. "Thanks to you, man. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Anytime, buddy," Rohit said, placing a hand on Karan's shoulder. "We're in this together."

Dr. Sharma, the compassionate and skilled neurologist, became a steady source of comfort and guidance. "Preeta's making great progress," she said during a meeting with Karan and Rohit. "Her seizures are under control, and she's regaining strength in her limbs."

"That's amazing news, Doctor!" Karan exclaimed, his face lighting up with hope.

"I know it's been tough, but you've both been incredible support systems for Preeta," Dr. Sharma said, smiling. "Keep up the good work."

As Preeta began her rehabilitation, Karan and Rohit were there every step of the way. "You got this, Preeta!" Karan cheered, as she took her first steps with the aid of a walker.

"I couldn't do it without you two," Preeta said, her voice trembling with emotion. "You're my rocks."

Through shared moments of joy and sorrow, their bond deepened, a testament to the power of friendship and love.

One day, as they sat together in Preeta's hospital room, Karan turned to Rohit and said, "You know, man, I don't think I've ever told you how much you mean to me."

Rohit smiled. "You don't have to, Karan. I know exactly what you mean. We're brothers in every way that counts."

Preeta's eyes sparkled with tears as she listened to their conversation. "I'm so grateful for both of you," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I love you guys."

"We love you too, Preeta," Karan and Rohit said in unison, their voices filled with emotion.

Preeta's eyes widened with concern. "What about Dev? I haven't seen him in so long. Is he...?"

Karan and Rohit exchanged a nervous glance, their faces pale. They had been dreading this moment, knowing they couldn't keep the truth from Preeta forever.

"Preeta, we need to tell you something," Karan began, his voice trembling. "Dev... he didn't make it. He passed away in the accident."

Preeta's expression crumbled, her eyes filling with tears. "No... no, no, no!" she whispered, her voice rising in panic.
