Chrisean let out a heavy breath she didn't realize she was holding when she heard the voice call her.
Since their argument earlier that morning, the couple hadn't spoken to each other.
"Hmm?"
"Therapy."
"What?"
"Therapy. I'll go to the marriage counseling, or couples therapy, whatever you want me to.. I'm sorry. I really-" He was interrupted by his own sniffling, "I really wan' be witchu ma, an I'm sorry as hell for the way I been treating you. I'll go ta the therapy, I'll fix this shit I swear. I love you. You my wife. You my Queen."
Chrisean's small smirk turned into a full smile as she hugged him around his neck causing him to pick her up, pressing tender, loving kisses on her lips.
"No more arguing?" She asked.
"No more arguing."
"You gone be here more often and spend time with us?"
He hesitated, knowing that he had enough money to pay the mortgage for 10 years without having to go out and perform, but he enjoyed it. It was his passion. He loved music, he loved his fans, they were the ones who helped him get out the hood, he had to show love to them.
But he realized, a bunch of bitches didn't matter when he had a wife and kids at home who needed his attention more than any of the bitches that swarmed around him while he performed.
"Yes. I will be here more often and spend more time wit y'all."
"Mhm. I shoulda known.." Chrisean huffed referring to his hesitation, psuhing his chest she signaled she wanted to be put down, but he didn't let her go, instead he held her closer and tighter.
"I'm serious, mama. I swea'. I love what I do, but I love you, Prince, and my baby girls even more."
Tears started to fill the both of their eyes as Chrisean held his head in both her hands, staring deeply into his eyes, it felt like she could read the words printed on his mind, body, and soul if she wanted to, "I love you too."
Just then, Dayvon's heart clenched, feeling engulfed in this feeling he hadn't felt before. Pure, innocent love.
"I love you more than my life, Chrisean, I'm serious." He said through tears, they held each other tight, crying into each others shoulders until they couldn't anymore, practically crying themselves to sleep.
