Light In Me
A soul brought into this life,
With light, expectations , hopes
And unpromising joy.
Why did you steal my light?
Why did you take my night?
Where you were fast asleep,
Already living in what I dream.
I tried to weep,
But I couldn't let it out,
So much to scream, to yell, to shout.
Wrath flowing in my veins,
I wanted to cut right through it.
I feel shattered, weathered, crushed.
I feel stripped,
Of Dignity and bliss.
I can't let them know,
That I'm being sucked by this abyss.
But if there not here for me today,
Why would they care tomorrow?
Yet for some hearts,I stay,
Be mine full of devastating sorrow.
This is the punishment of devotion,
Consequences of vexation.
The light inside of me stopped,
But the world went on like it should.
Why weren't you there?
Why aren't you here?
What if I say goodbye,
You would miss me to tears,
But I keep on staying,
Yet you're never here.
