Centuries ago, long before even humans began to rise, there were these creatures who possessed great powers. These mythical beings brought birth to humans with extraordinary abilities. Superhuman strength, incredible speed, dazzling telekinesis, and much more. But there is one thing that comes into mind when this is being said. They are not real. Well, that isn't what George Vermonte is ought to believe.

The truth isn't as far as we could imagine, it was just from these four family members, we can see the true nature of what a family is, and what it is like having extraordinary gifts.

George Vermonte, a father and a former marine officer, now a truck driver, has a superpower to fix and mend objects at his own will.

Allison Vermonte, a mother, and a former professor, has a superpower to create impenetrable barriers within the palm of her hands.

Icho Vermonte, the eldest son, a college dropout, has a superpower to bend gravity from the back of his mind.

And lastly, Louise Vermonte, the youngest daughter, a graduating student, has a superpower to talk and transform into animals.

All of them have their own unique superpowers; the thing that separates them from humankind. The thing though, however, is that they still don't know the truth. The truth of having a superpower in a modern world.

Beside this, they all have their own different curses in modern times as well:

George Vermonte, the father, has a curse of having his responsibility as a brother to someone with dementia and not focusing on his family.

Allison Vermonte, the mother, has a curse of protecting her children and her husband every single day.

Icho Vermonte, the dropout, has a curse of being a problem not just by his lack of sympathy, but by his lack of empathy towards others.

And finally, Louise Vermonte, the seemingly perfect girl, who has a curse of being perfect throughout her entire life.

These curses are not just limited to the family, in fact, they are called modern-day-curses because they affect millions of people worldwide.

Although unbeknownst to the family, there is more to it than their modern-day-curses. Well at least, that is where the story begins. The story of a cursed family with no superpowers.
