Local Hospital

Louise was immediately rushed to the hospital when she collapsed. It was three in the afternoon when she had regained her consciousness.

It was a little bit hazy on her behalf. The last thing she remembered was Whiskers talking aloud to her. She opened her eyes only to see the monotonous white walls of the hospital; to her left is her brother Icho taking a nap.

She tried to stand up but it was for a moment she realized that she was bound with hoses and wires. "Icho." she tapped her brother; her brother was awoken by her call.

"Hey." he said while still disoriented by his nap. He immediately called his mom and dad to accompany his sister.

"Louise." George said.

"Dad, what happened?"

"Apparently, your collapse was just sudden, dear." George said.

They all looked worried. For a second, Icho was worried for her little sister as well.

"Your blood sugar was low, as well." Allison said.

"I'm gonna head outside." Icho said before heading out. It had been five days since she fainted, and since then, she had her whole family worried sick.

Louise looked at her dad and said, "I'm sorry dad."

"About what?" her dad replied.

"About Whiskers."

Louise' first instinct was her responsibility as a daughter, she lost it when she had also lost Whiskers. George's eyes locked with Louise while Allison gave them the space they needed, "You two talk this out, I'mma head with Icho and call a doctor for you." Allison said.

As she walked away her father continued, "You shouldn't be sorry hon, I guess it's just a gut instinct to protect the last thing someone had given you." George said.

"God I'm sorry too you know..." he added.

"Don't be sorry to me, dad."

"No no, if it weren't for me, you wouldn't be here in the hospital right now."

They both looked at each other's eyes while he added, "You know what, all that matters to me is that you are well and that all is good."

Louise looked at the monitor, she saw her heart rate and her breathing rate. However, she had raised a question within her mind, "Dad, when can I go?"

Her dad looked at her eyes once more and said, "Whenever the doctors think you are ready."

"But... What about summer camp? You know I can't miss the camp." Louise replied.

"Your mother and I already took care of it."

George was in a deep train of thought when he had to say something about her sudden collapse; "You know... it was such a sudden fall when you blacked out."

"By any chance, have you experienced anything at all when you collapsed?" he asked.

Whiskers was the last thing she had seen before her collapse, and to her excuse, she was about to fade out anyways when she had heard Whiskers speak.

"What do you mean, dad?" she mentioned.

"Sorry, was just being worried again. It's just... nevermind." he responded.

She inhaled a deep breath before Allison came back right into the room with the doctor. "Here she is," Allison said. The doctor took a while to check up on Louise, but he had some news to break. He had grabbed his clipboard and ran through some tests with the monitor.
